The yougurt could have been the catalyst to the puking - try capsules. If that does not work and its her sensitive stomache then you can try using suppositories I have found that most capsules i use hold between 300 mg and 650 mg. per capsule. Personally i prefer to put the "powder" in about 1/2 to 1 ounce of water and down the hatch with the mixture.

It takes me exactly 6 capsules per gram as well. Your numbers don't seem off to me. 24 caps for 4 grams is right, depending on the size of your capsules. And it does sound like quite a few to swallow, but I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as having to taste the stuff. Dramamine has helped me immensely with the associated nausea as well. And when swallowing that many caps, it does make me gag a little bit, swallowing pill after pill, but after I get them all down, the only thing that bugs me a bit is having Iboga flavored burps for a little bit, haha.
Hi Mo, Like everybody says go with the caps. You can go to the drug store or health food store and buy something cheap just to use the caps. Like Digi said swallowing 24 caps is a lot better than the taste, use larger caps. May I ask what happened, did your partner have a full Experience or nothing but sickness? If it is the TA that I have been hearing about that is a pretty hefty dose and usually lunch is lost. Was she on opiates, did it help? Was she spaced out for a while did the eating habits change or anything like that? If any of that happened then she may of got enough in her to get the job done depending upon the objective. Hi mo - good to see you man. Sorry to hear of the difficulties but just so you know, it isn't that uncommon. I purge every time I take the stuff, though the last few times it has been large doses of rootbark and anything and everything after ten grams I had the damnedest time holding in for longer than a few minutes. For some reason 10g seems to be the magic number for me to hold in for any length of time...we have made our own TA with vinegar and my brother had a 'butt purge' as he calls it haha, but this was some time after ingestion. The stuff tastes awful that's for sure so I think the solution is to cap it up. My first go I took about 30 caps (of TA) over the span of a couple hours. It sounds like alot but once you get going it's not that bad. Wishing you the best!

initially i thought that it was not a full experience, considering the depth of her trance and comparing it to mine. however it did last as long as my experience on a flood dose lasted. so i conclude that it was as much as she could process, this time. which speaks for the idea of the failsafe mechanism.. she was not on opiates, it was not an opiate related treatment. she did stop smoking cigarettes for about 2 weeks.. btw: it was the TA from iboga world - is that the strong TA you are talking about? i read somewhere (i think on the sacrament of transition pages) of rectal administration. i wonder if that actually is the most sensible choice given the amount of powder. one single, large 'rectal capsule' would do. also, there would be no problems with taste. it makes most sense really - no?

(HCL,TA may be different..) 2.) how to do it right? do you have experiences/knowledge with/about it?
Hi Mo, I never did the back door way but have heard very good things about it. You don't put the caps up your butt but a mixture of water and Ibo. Tia will most likely chime in and tell you about it. Since the wife was not on opiates it is an easier ride since the body and mind does not have to contend with w/d. Yes, IW does have some strong TA. I too have a emergency valve. When I consume something that my body does not like it calls an emergency conference and I get one or two minutes warning to find an empty bathroom. It is as if the body says hey I've been poisoned - evacuate immediately, evacuate immediately, evacuate immediately. Did you give her the proper amount for her weight? If she is still interested I would stay do 1/2 the dose and see what happens then you can decide if you want to take it further. Maybe she would enjoy something easier like shrooms or acid. cinderpath
I easily fit 500-700 mgs in double 0 (or 00) capsules from any vitamin store. That is two caps per gram, tops. For 5 grams of TA it's 10 capsules or less. If you have ibogaine HCl, just dissolve it in a small amount of water, suck it into a small syringe like for baby medicines, and squirt it in your ass. Hold it and it'll absorb quickly and more thoroughly. Depending on if you use TA and it's quality, you might need to add a few drops of vinegar or something, but a very few drops. Taking smaller doses over and extended period allows the body to adjust slower, which can help prevent the rapid onset, which often triggers nervousness and vomiting. One way I have heard about, even when using bark, is to take 2-4 grams of bark (or 3-500 mgs of TA) every 30-40 minutes til you reach the visionary state, and that helps the onset be so gradual that it doesn't cause vomiting, and if it starts to, one can take 1-2 grams of bark (200 mgs of TA) every half hour until they are there. It prolongs the full experience and the rate at which you'll enter the visionary experience, and it may also take more iboga in the long run, but it's a viable way of possibly not losing some of the precious, expensive medicine. Hey Mo, if you're going to buy capsules, I'd suggest that you also buy a capsule filling machine. I've got one called a " Cap'em quik " and it's a great little device that lets me fill 50 capsules in about 10 minutes. I use the size 00 capsules myself, and have found that being able to encapsulate my own medicines & supplements is fun & saves me a LOT of $$$$. You can be quite accurate about the amounts you put in each capsule simply by weighing the total amount of material you put in them and dividing that amount by 50. ( Make sure you get a "tamper" too, so you can squeeze as much as possible into each capsule!) Like GD, I find I can get about 500mg root bark in one "00" size capsule.
