Alcohol after Iboga

Hello All, I recently did a flood back in November. Everything went well and I still feel pretty good, (Although I still hate typing because of my lack of composition, sentence structure and having trouble putting my words down) About 3 weeks ago I began to go out with business associates and a GF. They encouraged me to have drinks with them but I told them I couldn't because of the supposed interaction with Iboga, As time went on I started to feel like I was missing out on the fun, so I decided to drink a beer and see how it affected me. After about an hour, I felt OK, so I ordered another and soon another. That night I had about 8 beers all together and of course I felt buzzed, but no bad affects. The following weekend it became pretty clear that this would be a ritual of ours, I drank and drank till I felt my limits. So far I can say that I haven't felt any bad sides after doin any booze. I am in no way addicted, but I do like the social comraderie and find myself well in control, just thought it was kinda weird how this worked out. Any thoughts?

Hi! I think if you don't have a problem with alcohol, and alcohol doesn't lead you back to your DOC you should be fine.  I think most recommend to stay off alcohol for three months after Iboga, I guess it has been about three months since you flooded?  The main concern with alcohol is that it will flush the noribogaine out of your system.  If you haven't been microdosing or doing boosters then it may be out of your system by now anyway.  One thing some experience is that if they start drinking they may loose their inhibitions and want to do something else, their DOC.  If alcohol wasn't your DOC to begin with and it isn't making you crave whatever yours was, I don't think it is a big issue to have a couple of drinks on the weekend...  Some can never drink again, it will just lead them back to where they were, you should know if it is going to be a problem or not.  roxine

Well my DOC have always been stims like coke and aderrall. I don't have any cravings for those and I really don't crave alcohol, but it is nice to compartake with if you know what I mean.

Alcohol=problem for your life?----Then don't drink it.  You certainly should stay away as long as possible.  Too early and it's almost relapsing even if alcohol isn't your DOC in the sense that it seems to deplete the Noribogaine levels we fought so hard for!  I am addicted to A LOT.  Just not booze.  However, I am found having drinks with good friends every once in awhile.  I never wish to be belligerent, and if I am, I usually I am embarrassed about myself....

I went back too, after 8 months.  It was disappointing.  I didnt notice any bad effects either, but Id be willing to bet that if you flooded to end your alc addiction, then it mighta been a problem??  Maybe not, whatever.  Point is, you've likely relapsed without recognizing it; called denial.  Fine.  Just realize excesses are bad.  Thats the lesson Iboga generously shared with me, and the one I try to remember.  Return to balance friend.  Hold onto the anchor in the center and maintain your balance.  Other people love excess...Hence our extremely materialistic gluttonous society climbing over each other, stepping on each others throats for an extra dollar.  Were all crack heads.  And our crack is money.
