Boosters/Micro-dosing questions
You don't want to do boosters (about 5-7 x the dosage of a microdose) until you flood. Micro dosing while you taper your use of long acting opiates is ok but not to boost. Nothing like the same thing. Have you done research at all? It would be easier for us to answer your questions if you first do some basic research. Can grind into a very fine powder and mix with a honey or another sweetener (maple syrup, yacon syrup, agave, sorghum). Important to still weigh your dose. I use a capsule machine. In the '0' caps I can fit around 500-600mg and in the '00' can fit 800mg-1gr. TA Once a week-one month after your flood. Then once a month after and one more time the next month. I only answered some questions, some I feel you are re asking in order to get the response you want. No ways around have to go directly through.
Clarification... One booster a week after-one month after you flood. Then one a month later then one more a month later. So 3 in total. The way I had written it earlier was not clear.
It would probably be a lot easier to just buy some gel caps at a health food store or online than emptying out caps already filled with something then filling them with RB, If you don't have a machine, you can just put the rb in a bowl and try to get as much in as possible. I would get a scale to measure, but generally you will get about the same in each cap, it can vary depending on if it is totally powdered or not, and vary a little bit anyways, but it shouldn't be too much of a difference. I just fill em up, then weigh it and consider how much the empty cap weighs and subtract that. roxine
So micro-dosing is not considered as boosters, and not beneficial after a flood? one of the practitioners I spoke to said they send you home to do micro-dosing for PAWS, with root bark, I was led to believe this is considered boosters... Why isn't it good to micro-dose post flood?
A microdose is fine after a flood, but if you are having PAWS a booster is probably going to be more effective in helping the symptoms, really the only difference between a microdose and a booster is the amount you are taking (a booster being much more than a microdose) . I think he is saying not to take a booster before the flood, but microdosing before hand is okay and may help you taper your dose roxine
MICRO-DOSING = a SUB PSYCHOACTIVE dose, most often the raw root bark in capsule. By definition, a micro-dose is not acutely active and is taken like a supplement. The effects are cumulative and will be noticed after a time (unique to the individual) Used often as an anti-depressant and as adjunct to help opiate taper among other things. Typically scheduled one or two (max) doses daily and most users of this method will employ it for anywhere between a week to ten days. Then take a week between, and repeat if they deem it appropriate. Microdosing is the slowest way to build up the metabolites and has the least somatic and psychological effects of any other model. Many people find this is beneficial for reasons of work, home or other responsibilities - because when applied correctly there is no inebriation/intoxication. Some people experience side effects such as, loss of appetite, vivid dreaming - and/or insomnia and (rarely) minor GI discomfort. Typically when on a MD regimen these side effects are the cue to discontinue and give some time for introspection and evaluate when or if to proceed. BOOSTER = A dose of TA/PTA or ibogaine (though bark may be used as well) designed to enhance, prolong and/or integrate flood sessions and also as a means of controlling the syndrome known as PAWS. May be taken immediately following flood (referred to as a 'clean-up dose) especially if there was difficulty taking or keeping down the main body of medicine during the flood proper. Also a popular method of intermittent 're-charge' to boost or maintain ibogamine levels. A booster of any form of the material will be dosed mg/kg according to the needs of the individual - but some generalities can be applied to the definition: Depending on sensitivity and proximity to any other iboga ingestion, a booster describes a high enough dose to have mild to moderate acute ibogaine inebriation and may last all day. Often commensurate (quantity wise) with pre-flood 'test dose' which (IME) ranges from 3-5 mg/kg - but amount is very subjective and some prefer slightly heavier boosts...in any case boosters should be used sparingly and attentively. Not necessarily requiring a sitter - but ataxia and visuals may present on larger boosts, abating more rapidly than full dose sessions. FLOOD= A complete saturation of the system with ibogaine/iboga alkaloids, wherein the name suggests total immersion in the experience - dosing within most 'accepted' safety consensuses for maximum effect range from 18-30mg/kg. Variables for dosing protocols are (as all else) unique to each individual and situation: Chemical dependency/addiction interruption amounts usually require the highest concentration of medicine by weight and close attention placed on a 'stepped/staggered' chronology. IMO the most effective method is to dose 20-30mg/kg and have it administered over the shortest practical time frame. Keeping closest watch on vital signs and GI during the come-up. Ideally, no purging will occur until well in to plateau - this is achieved when full amount of pre measured dose (or closest approximation) is actively on board and is observable by leveling of vital signs, deep trance state and other visual cues. Depending on the material and amount used, full flood episodes can last from as short as 8 hours to as long as 72. Saturating with full spectrum alkaloids such as TA or root bark elicit much longer experiences and deeper, fuller vision/trance phase and can take quite a while to recover to baseline. Debate still exists whether full spectrum alkaloid flooding is commensurately safe compared with an equal-strength dose of ibogaine. Some studies suggest elevated risk for cardiac anomaly with regard to total alkaloid. However this has not been my own experience. Psycho-Spiritual = Protocol usually (but not always) requiring slightly less material than needed for drug detox. 15-20mg/kg with a popular mean being an 18mg/kg dose. This will - depending on each unique situation - provide the same or close to the same intensity of the dose used in withdrawal models. Having a 'clean' system going in to session - devoid of excessive chemicals, drugs and unhealthy foods, etc - it is possible to achieve full effects with this modulated dosing. The same time sensitivity applies to all flood protocols: ideal circumstances one would have everything on board within 2 or 3 hours. Unless someone is hypersensitive or has pre existing GI problems - even large, shortly spaced doses are usually well enough tolerated to keep down until full absorption. Either Flood method/requirement will absolutely require a sitter or sitters. Present, sober, and alert to any possible reaction, one's sitter(s) should be well versed in their roles and responsibilities. In all cases, flooding, if all is done correctly and with optimal set/setting - the user will be highly intoxicated for a good while and in many cases my not recognize the degree of their own impairment if once they attempt to move. Always use utmost caution and patience.

I also think TA is better as boosters, but the practitioner I am in contact with at the moment is adamant that micro-dosing with root bark for PAWS is better, perhaps he wants to make an extra buck or 2 by not handing out TA boosters? I don't know. Perhaps because of the metabolites being active from the flood he may deem micro-dosing is necessary?...Maybe since micro-dosing builds up in the system which already has Iboga from the flood the practitioner may think its increasing the Iboga metabolites so thus deems it unnecessary to do a TA boosters so soon after a flood, so instead recommends micro-dosing root bark. Does micro-dosing speed up PAWS if you take them daily or once every 2 days?
Microdosing may 'speed up' PAWS - it can be difficult to ascertain which specific dose one would benefit most from: a boost or MD. IMO - one can boost 'too soon' and have the whole damned episode backfire, e.g - adding more insomnia to an already sleep deprived head, lagging appetite etc. This can actually make you feel a little strung out from exhaustion because if taken real soon after a heavy flood - it might put you back into needing to convalesce. Hence, backfire....of course, this is not always the case. There really is no 'always the case' it seems. I vote for MDing after a flood - you can do this pretty much right away with (usually) minimal nastiness - if somebody just went through the crucible of a strong flood for detox, they will be feeling rough. In spite of this, we hear much about the 'ibo-glow' - this is when you don't give a shit that you feel like a porcupine made out of Brillo Pads, because you aren't shooting smack anymore. Most people can live with that idea I think Sounds like a fair trade to me. And it abates quickly...waaay faster than without ibogaine and I have said this before, as rich as the flood experience can be, I think the real jewel is only noticed in the days and weeks immediately after, once we begin to realize we have been living without our DOC. Stacking a boost onto the system within the first 30 days can be too soon for some people. Maybe if they have just begun to feel like eating and sleeping and FINALLY getting some energy back, if it is a stong boost - especially of TA - might make ya feel yucky again for a few days. Hell, man good question. I do not want to steer anyone wrong. As ever I say take your time, consider well what your goals and desires are for the whole process - only you know what you can handle better than anyone else. If you need a boost, take one, if you are still feeling like you have a static-electricity aura hovering an inch over you like a subtle body, maybe just MD instead... Don't like giving ambivalent or conflicting answers, but really it is so subjective according to one's needs, and stamina that you kinda have to gauge it yourself. So...maybe something in this post helped, I hope at least it didn't make things cloudier - pay close attention to 'where' you are and why you are considering boosting or microdosing....in the end it is up to you. Good luck, I hope you can get the most from whatever you decide
I appreciate the information, it helps me a lot. One thing Ive always been curious about is whether Iboga boosters or micrdosing cut down on PAWS duration/depression time? or merely just hold you until your brain re-wires? for instance if someone was to suffer PAWS for 6 months without Iboga then they would need to take Iboga boosters or whatever for 6 months? or does Iboga really cut down PAWS time and not simply mask the PAWS? so for example you can take few boosters for a month or 2 and shortern PAWS? Am thinking if its possible to just do boosters or microdosing during bup withdrawals and PAWS? after all its not the intensity of bup withdrawals but duration which is the main problem.
Hi folks, so I made a plan, to get on a SAO (Dihydrocodeine time release 60mg tablets) and also take Root Bark, to help me with sub withdrawals..Can anybody wiegh in and advise me of anything? yes I understand RB can potentiate opiates but I do not plan on taking much DHC, perhaps 1-2 tablets through out the day?...Also would the RB really potentiate the opiates that much if am also coming off subs? and in sub WDs? After few months I may do a full-flood treatment, but am wondering would I get away with TA boosters instead?. I plan to jump on a SAO from 0.1 of subs. Lastly can you take small amount of TA boosters with half life of subs or an opiate in the system? for instance if I have not taken any opiates or subs for 2 weeks would the half life of the subs still affect the Bark?... Thanks.
I like to put rb powder in a ceramic mug add hot water with a bit of honey and presto! ibo tea. I like to sip slowly, making sure to savor every drop, and make sure to swirl all grinds with tea and leave no residues as all may not be water soluble..... Take with bioperine(credits to Kambo) and enjoy your day.
