Cleaning the body with kambo before Iboga
i have seen it used . i would love to try it someday . much love brother . - hp ps . shamanic extracts (whom i love ) has it .
Now this is what I'm talking about, I have been very intrigued by kambo but did not have the courage to do it yet. Can you explain more about the preperation and long term effects. I heard a fascinating podcast by rak razeem I think interviewing an amazing kambo medicine man, I will search it out and post it later. Also saw in a video about aya where the dude takes kambo as well. What about the burns how is that best conducted? and what of applying these sticks, how is that done to make the kambo shipped from the amazon active? Thanks -IP
So for that podcast about the kambo medicine man check rak razam's podcast called In a Perfect World number 42 entitled "Kambo's Kiss". It is highly recommended. Not all his podcasts but this one in particular is a gem. -IP
I've had a couple conversations with Dimitri from Maya about Kambo. When I was placing some orders and telling him about my experiences with Iboga and it's healing properties, he recommended I give Kamba a shot sometime and couldn't really stop himself from extolling the virtues of their Kambo sticks. http://www.maya-ethnobotanicals.com/buy-kambo They're currently out of stock, but should be getting more soonish - and it's also available by request if you send Dimitri an e-mail
The preparation is as follows. You stop eating at least six hours before the treatment. Better to do it in the morning on your empty stomach. Then someone burns a wooden stick and pricks tiny holes in your skin. In the meantime you start drinking water. 2 liters or more. Then the secretion that is kept on a wooden stick is prepared with some drops of water. No the medicine is fawning (?) and is put on the holes You can feel the heat in your body, your cells are expanding and your heart is pumping fast. The kambo takes over your systeem and you pray for your healing and try to sit straight. You feel sick and you start to vomit yellowisch liquid, because your gall is in it. Sometimes you can see black rubbisch in it too. To whole proces lasts about half an hour. Afterwards you lay down and take a little break or nap. After that you feel seren, peaceful, calm, energized and you see things sharper. The kambo grounds you. The next few days i feel really connected with the heart. During the ceremony it's possible that you see energies and images. Kambo knows were your body needs it's healing. It gives a tremendous boost to your imunne systeem Except the physical kambo takes away the energies that hinder you to be yourself. I had allergies, but they are all gone. Kambo works better if you use it a couple of times. People say the first time it works for 50%, the second time 75% and the third 100%. It's best to do a next treatment within four weeks of the last one. The secretion is dried on a stick and can be used for a really long time.
i am doing this before my next flood . Thanks Rogier for the info . i have always been curious about Kambo . much love and space travel . - harvey plex
Take care and start easy for your first time. Start with a couple of dots and feel what it does. You can build up during the proces. Don't try to analyse the experience but experience it in stillness. So there is no resistance. It makes the proces easier.
Thanks a lot for the info christie67, there is so little info about kambo. I got a stick waiting. I 've thought actullay to do some ayahuasca to purge/cleanse the day before my first Kambo vaccine. Good to hear about this ! I feel Aya, Iboga and kambo used in alternance can really make a huge difference.
http://www.kambo.nu/product_browse.phtml/catid_34/ this is maya's sister company, pretty much the same as reset.nu but focused on kambo healing.
The synergy between ayahuasca and kambo is great. It is like 1+1=3. A mild dose of ayahuasca, and a few hours later the kambo does great work! Viva Kambo
I express my sincere thanks and gratitude christie67 for providing this impulse for healing. I did not think I would have the courage to do kambo but thanks to your words of truth I am inspired to make my order. It is said to wake up cellular memory that has been dormant. How would it work with a regular amount of ayahuasca? Do you not recommend this? Mad props rog and respects. -IP
It also works with a regular amount of ayahuasca and it also does with a strong one, but for me a strong dose of aya and kambo is hard work. I like to take it easy....
I use nu-nu on aya usually, would you recommend it before or after kambo too ? (nu-nu is a snuff from nicotiana rustica "mapacho" and "macambo tree"'s bark theobrama bicolor, both toasted, crushed and finely powdered. It is traditionally used byt he Matses who also use kambo.
Take the Nu-nu whenever you feel like it. I love Nu-nu it can help yout with getting your intention clear.
Thanks for the heads up christie67, also, I have some mapacho I hardly make any use of it. Do you use small dose in aya ? or make liquid snuff from it ?
Maya ethnobotanicals is now in stock as of afew hours ago. It's a sign and the ayahuasca has spoken and recommended it's sapo collegue. -IP
Nice Ibogahuasca Panacea . I'm looking forward to hear of your experience! As for the mapacho. You can grind the leaves to, and make a snuff of it. I don't like the liquid in my nostrils.
I've been fascinated by kambo from what I have heard from others but never had the balls to do it yet. I didn't know it was so brief? It has been recommended to me before by mighty people. These things have such a funny way of appearing when they do...great thread.
http://in-a-perfect-world.podomatic.com/player/web/2011-01-24T05_30_04-08_00 podcast about kambo.
Very interesting. I had never heard of this before. I admit I did not listen to the podcast, where these questions might be answered. How is it harvested? Are the frogs harmed, besides being very stressed out? Are the frogs farmed or wild caught? Do frogs raised outside of their home environment carry the same properties? If suddenly this became very popular, would it endanger the frogs? With Iboga, I make sure that I know the source, and am fortunate to buy from someone who also makes sure it's planted, and when the roots are harvested, it is sustainably, not the whole plant just uprooted in the forest. Befor I try this, I would want to know about the impact also, as I'm sure you have explored. Thanks for any info. Wet blankets for all, CharleyP
abigail20, the frog is taken care off while harvested not to get hurt. It's not a very stressed out frog, she let you catch her. They harvest wild frog, but I dunno how a breed frog would make the same medecine or not. So far it looks sustainable as soon as it's not like thousands and thousands of poeple wants some but even. I believe they suffer form the deforestation and pollution more than anything else.
from what ive seen the frogs dont look too happy by all this . lookie : http://www.shamanic-extracts.com/xcart/shamanic-products/kambo-sticks-sapo.html much love and Star Wars . -hp
Thx to both of you.
First off these frogs are extremely loving and friendly creatures, in no way do they try to escape and the only reason they are put out on limbs and apparantly tortured is so the person extracting is not poisoned in the process. They are essentially loving creatures and in many instances from what I have heard and videos I have seen they try and hug the fingers of those catching them. They have the phenomena of not releasing the chemical when in captivity as witnessed by Japanese scientists that were attempting to do research. I personally do not believe they are harmed in the Peruvian method but that is debatable. To find a method that does not injure them locate a Brazilian source as apparantly their method involves singing to the frog as witnessed by the for mentioned podcast...not sure why you didn't listen to it if you are really sincerely interested it is CRUCIAL!!! They must be wild caught for they do not produce in captivity and they only live in trees never touching the ground. They have absolutely no predators other than the cutting down of the rainforest...even the anacanda knows better. There is no way this could become popular believe me, it is no easy joy ride. It is somewhat comparable to a compressed Iboga journey without the visions...not truly an applicable comparison but just to provide an analogy. I have only done it once and have such a boost of energy ever since then it is like my body is producing its own caffine or something, very happy as well. I personally am really into things like this the machismo arts that push the body to the limit to promote the greatest healing but I am quite sure only 5% of the population at large would even consider such a treacherous venture. Within 10 minutes I was sweating and feeling like I had run 20 miles and had 7 left to go...it is no joke. thanks to me ?
No, the two who replied to my query about how the frogs feel. And now to IboPana because I have better info. IboPana, I research things thoroughly before I touch them, and will follow the links plus more. But most pressing and the first place to start, was it is destructive from the outset. Either to the frogs, land, etc, etc. CharleyP, who won't eat at McDonalds
Whatever man, sounds like your going off of assumptions not research. Just listen to the damn podcast if you want to find an Eco friendly method otherwise start a new thread about how bad frogs are treated in the amazon or something catchy like that. I don't eat fast food either but who gives a flying pluck it doesn't make me a better person than someone that does eat mcdonalds or whatever else. You seem like the kind of cat that we might as well be speaking different languages.
Duuuuude, I was not trying to be confrontational, and was poking fun at myself with the McDonald's statement, at the posturing of it. I've never had a good sense of comedy. Nothing wrong with asking questions. I am intrigued by this, and wanted to know more, starting with how the medicine is gathered. I care about ibo, peyote and others the same. CP
While my understanding of kambo is near zero, its a poison. To expose ones inner self to poison in an attempt to clean oneself just doesnt make sense to me on its surface. I may be missing something. A good cleanse IMHO, would include a fast and a colonic followed by yogurt or probiotics and perfect eating (fruits, vegetables, & lean meat). This is how I plan to enter my first Iboga experience. But I dont want to sound like I know anything. I dont. Im just learning. Maybe its more of a spiritual cleanse than a physical cleanse, sounds akin to walking on hot coals or some sort of test of the limits of the human body. I can sorta dig it but...
this thread is getting a bit out of topic. Kambo vaccin isn't just a poison that is wrong to work with, no more than saying psylocibus cubensis or iboga contain poison which makes you delirious which make syou believe you have an experience. But quite frankly what we call poison or medecine depends often of the dose. SO OD on datura it's poison, or microdose with seeds and avoid nausea or enhance sleep and potentiate tryp. It's all about dosage and good information.
^^ Very well put, and I agree. From wiki's entry on "poison": "In the context of biology, poisons are substances that can cause disturbances to organisms,[1] usually by chemical reaction or other activity on the molecular scale, when a sufficient quantity is absorbed by an organism." By that definition - water is poison. Water, when absorbed in sufficient quantity, can kill you. It's all about dosage, and weighing the potential benefits against possible contraindications.
Yeah DP, water is deadly poison in liters quantity. can cause bladder and/or kidney failure. SO back the poster, yeah information is KEY along with careful dosages, slowly incresing to test if any adverse-reaction (like allergies) is experience.
I'm not called to much, but I am called to Kambo. It's not calling with the ferocity that ibo pinned me with before I took it, but a calling nonetheless. So I have researched it. Today, out of the blue (lol), I was invited to a ceremony in a beautiful canyon by a traditionally trained practitioner who is visiting. I am ever humbled by the synchronicities in my life. I am going to do this tomorrow. Thank you for putting this information here. CP
Fascinating to read about Kambo. It is amazing how many cures nature has to offer us, that doctors don't know about. What is particular Kambo is good for? Detox and for the immune system? I need to do a lot of research, just read this thread
Wicked news Charley P. ! PLease report back !
I do wonder if Kambo will have any positive effect on my inflammatory arthritis. I intend to give it a go. I wonder how it works with auto-immune disorders. hmmmmmmmmm
Hi All, If you guys try the Kambo please tell us how it went. From what I read on Erowid it doesn't seem all that pleasant. Of course different people like different things. To each their own. Best, cinderpath
I don't think anyone does it for the high or the fun of it. I am pretty sure they do it for the feeling of well-being afterwards.
Great thread. I have only my experience to report, and seeing 30 other people go through it as well. Maybe 40. Doesn't matter but for the incredibly wide range of reactions I got to observe. I arrived at the canyon about 5pm. What a wonderful place, there for decades, solely dedicated to healing sessions with many and varied medicines. Iboga may be next. The man who would be administering the medicine and his helpers showed up shortly afterward. At the facility there were also about 3 dedicated helpers as well, familiar with medicines. He laid an altar, said prayers and gave a brief description of what this is for, and what it will do, with the biggest focus on ALLOWING the healing to happen. He said that the medicine is to heal us, and to remove our bad luck. He said drink water before, during and after. That the frog medicine moves in you with more water in you. The men and women were separated to two sides of the large gathering room. The men sat next to him and took off their shirts, the women lay before him and exposed their calves. One at a time. Each person received five burns with a wooden stick, which were allowed to blister (about 30 seconds) then the blisters were wiped off with a cloth. The medicine he wet slightly with a knife dipped in water, then scraped into little balls. The medicine was on a flat stone, about the width of a paint stirrer. These balls, he again dipped his knife in water, picked them up with the knife, and smeared them into the wounds. It took about 30 seconds to begin to feel the medicine, and about 5 minutes to be deeply with it. It lasted....about an hour? Twenty minutes? Time is fuzzy. The heart pounding is very intense, and I did have a second of mortal fear, which when I allowed, and gave myself permission to die, went away. The fear, lol, not the pounding. For me, it seemed to last about 4 minutes, but time was altered. I lay on the mattress for about 10 minutes in front of him. He and his attendants and the house attendants were awesome, puke bowls, tissues, gentle hands, support in walking, whatever was needed. And the practitioners eyes were on everyone at once, amazing. He would nod or gesture to an assistant, and they would understand and bring water, blanket, other things. After the ten minutes, I moved to a mattress not in the center. But all the people around me kept me from going into myself, I wanted to move their energy, sit with them, as I do with ibo. I conveyed this to a helper and she moved me outside under a grand oak on another mattress. She directed me in sitting in a certain position to allow energy flow. When I did this, sobbing began. I keened and cried for....20 minutes? Again, time distortion. But the tears were ancient and familiar. Okay, not ancient, but familiar tears, from very early childhood. When I was through, I lay quietly just being until I was moved to go back in and help with others. The range of reactions, to the same medicine, administered in the same dose and the same way, was really surprising. Some felt NOTHING by their. Some vomited once, others for 20 minutes. Some cried, some howled, some lay in a curled ball and sofly wept, or rocked. A couple sat up and swayed. All so different. The whole process, for everyone, was over by 9pm, as far as administration. Folks then just gazed at the astounding views, or comforted each other, or went walking. A couple musicians began playing gentle rythmic music, which was lovely. Some stayed laying down from the minute they received the dose until I left, at about 9:30. Today, I feel clean. Not super heroic, not under the influence. Not too different than the emotional state after iboga. Calm. Peaceful. I know that doing this again 2-4 times in the next couple months will benefit me greatly. I intend it. I think that like iboga and other tools, this is not for everyone, but that like iboga and other tools, it is inherently healing. The people that seemed to get nothing from it, appeared in my judgment to be people very attached to their egos. The concept of 'allowing' seemed to be very important, as did my intention to give myself over to this. If needed, I could have stood up and functioned at any time, but that was not the purpose. I wanted the cleaning and healing, so I kept it in mind, wth thanks. Different than iboga, it seems that I have no profound insights into my nature, ego or process. I just feel very clean, and with a desire to keep myself this way. Good and potent stuff. CP
I want to also say thank you to christie67. This was very timely for me an will inform my future. Much appreciation.
Oh yeah, and the man who performed the work said the frog is called by many names, including 'the Doctor', which I also heard in a documentary by a guy called, Hamilton? Who also reported little healing effect. Oh yeah again. I heard him speaking to a woman who he told he was giving a very mild dose to, though she still got 5 dots. This mildly dosed woman cried hard and loud for 45 minutes and felt wonderful afterward. I mention because though everyone got 5 dots, I think people were dosed as the practitioner saw fit.
nice report CP !!! its very strange how this thread developed . thanks Rogier and thanks IP !! I really want to try this too someday . mahalo. hp
HiAll Thanks for that information, and all the other you and others have shared in this thread. I will be checking it out. That pharmacology info is also really interesting, and yes, does very much remind one of Iboga. When we say Kambo, are we speaking of just one species of toad(frog?) only, or are there multiple species that have the same medicine present? If that was already answered in the thread, I apologize, I was a bit overwhelmed with info as I read thru in one sitting. Peace FF! annissa
Kambo is the same as the Phyllomedusa Bicolor aka Giant Monkey Tree Frog aka Sapo in Peru and called sometimes Acete in Brazil as well. It is a frog and entirely unique in it's amazing chemical makeup from it's skin unlike any other similar species. It is the only one of it's kind and I am starting to think it is who the Dogon talk about when they say Nummo (long story but that's who they worship). Here are some pictures... http://www.google.com/search?q=Phyllomedusa+Bicolor&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=xU4&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=Zn8RT-fRCcmFsAKNo9T2Aw&ved=0CDwQsAQ&biw=1366&bih=567 It seems Peter Gorman, the same guy doing great work with Ayahuasca, and who wrote "Ayahuasca in my Blood", was the first westerner to get the word out and sent samples to various scientist. So it wasn't until the 1980's that this frog even got it's botanical name. Here is a link to that info... http://www.pgorman.com/MakingMagic.htm *That is a very interesting article to me if you read towards the bottom third you will read about the first scientific data that sent this particular scientist reeling with excitement.
nice KP !!! thank you for sharing this brother. our forums own kambo authority professional professing the good news . kambo kicked my ass (big time) recently . i felt so good the next day as it took me awhile to recover .
Hi patientorchard, I got a question fer ya if patientorchardbo is a mu opioid receptor agonists that is 4000 times as strong as morphine then could it possibly be addictive? Also, from what I have read most people do not report a high from it. Also, have you toyed with the idea of DMSO? If you could get it right it could be a great new way to take it but it is no job for an amateur but you seem like you would like an easier way to take it. Just a thought, cinderpath
In my never ending quest to translate every portuguese article written about Kambo, I came across some reports where people were apparently over using it. So yes I think it is a possibility but fortunately the extreme trial that it puts one through makes it rather null and void in terms of long term addiction. I have thought of adapting a dieta and if I can figure out this acupuncture method doing micro doses with Kambo, maybe one a day and see if the spirit is revealed more and more. But that is really a goal I have, I really love the encounters I have had with the spirit of this frog. I have yet to venture into the DMSO realm, that was your idea right? It is a very good idea, first I knocked it but then I realized it was brilliant. I meant to try it over a month ago but for stalled it for the time being. Gearing up for Kambo is harder than gearing up for any other sacrament I have taken so far, so even a test of DMSO application would take 2 days of full on preperation. HP has been helpful in encouraging me to do the acupuncture method that Giovanni Lattanzi as well as the person that I think invented this method who works with the Katukina, floral therapist and acupuncturist, Sonia Maria Valencia Menezes. I actually like the burning method but from what I have heard it is not nearly as effective as the acupuncture so I'm gonna have to adapt to the times. I need to study the meridians and acupuncture points, so much research to do. I really need to get it together though as I want to treat my Mother's lymphodema with Kambo but she won't do the burns so I need to treat her with acupuncture application or if possible as well DMSO. The DMSO method seems a little scary to me but I will get the courage one of these days. I do want to reiterate that for Kambo to be most effective it should be combined with either Iboga or Ayahuasca. Ultimately Kambo should be as this thread says a preparation for an Iboga flood. The main importance in this has not been said yet as far as I know is that Kambo completely cleanses the liver, and Ibogaine works by being metabolized by the liver into Noribogaine and other metabolites. So the cleaner the liver is the more effective ones Iboga treatment will be. Than the root cause can be dealt with immediately and comprehensively. I would not recommend doing Kambo right before an Iboga FLOOD because the two would synergize and although I would think it would be the most amazing adventure ever, it could be extremely dangerous. Until crazy mf's like me do it I don't think others should try it. I would say doing Kambo in the morning of an evening Iboga FLOOD would be most effective. Or Kambo the day before an Iboga FLOOD. I think it is somewhat of a prerequisite to get all the shit out of oneself before an Iboga flood. That way you only have to worry about piss and purge. What a topic, where's THE MAN christie67??
