Day 31 and a little progress
You're doing everything right, and you have the right attitude, so all you have left is time to pass.. Hang in there! You'll be so happy to be free and comfortable so very soon. Keep up the great work!!
cloris, I agree with GD, Please be encouraged because at day 35, I personally did not even feel like walking 1 mile because of my back pains, let alone 2 to 3. I am so glad to hear that you are trying to do more each day. Please stay at it. I know that everyone's physical health, metabolism and all of that is different. I am just a bit over 50 but in fairly good physical health. After my first flood, it took a bit over a month for my body's natural ability to create it's own endorphins (our bodies' natural morphine). After prolonged use of opiates, our pituitary systems gets so messed up into thinking that it does not need to produce the endorphins anymore. I was in desperation to get out of those "blahs" so I just got back to some to basics and it really helped. There are many natural and healthy ways to kick start our endorphin system again. Physical activity is great of course. This may sound rudimentary but here are a few other examples to kick start your body's natural endorphin creation: spicy foods (jalapenos, hot chili peppers), laughter (a good comedy?),orgasm, and actually ..pain! (Ok...not necessarily in that order .) I still have severe pain in my back, so I am a bit easier on the exercise (my pain actually helped to kick start that system for me ). Hang in there, I am hoping you feel much better real soon. Try some very spicy food if you can bear it; and also those other things I mentioned. It really helped me.
