Flood Completed, a very very unexpected turn!!

I just completed a full flood iboga treatment for the first time on Tuesday night...I say for the first time because now I know all my previous ones were just mini floods! anyways heres how it went... I purchased 3 grams of Iboga TA from Ibogaworld, it was in 8 capsules, I set up my bwiti music playlist and had a nurse and my bf watching me for the night. Reasons for doing this; Depersonalization disorder, low self esteem, emotional/physical abuse issues, basically I was aiming for a full brain reset. I started at 6pm, nurse gave me 2 capsules, i went to lay down, turned my playlist on and just waited in the dark on my back. 30 mins later, I was given 2 anti nausea pills, 40 mins after that I was given another 3 capsules, 1.15 mins I was given 2 more capsules It came on rather fast, not so much in terms of visions but the medicine was incredibly strong...it was intense especially with the bwiti music playing...I could feel the medicine all in my body and mind, doing its work. Around 2 or 3 am I was given my last capsule and then all turned pear shaped (I think I didn't know not to take another capsule outside the first 4 hours)...I started to feel disconnected from my body, i was just a consciousness drifting towards my head, I felt very sick, lots of vomiting, I felt the ibo taking out a lot of crap from my mind, my brain felt a lot of pressure in it and its like it was scratching away at things (my first thought was oh oh I screwed it up and took too much coz its frying my brain and am not feeling my body)...as all this was going on I was just feeling like the Iboga was fucking me up so I got my sitters to call ambulance and take me to the hospital. ambulance came, in I went and at that time my body was numb and not connected to me, my blood pressure was under 50 and when i got the hospital they basically put a drip on me and monitored my heart and blood pressure, they had to put magnesium and potassium back in my body coz I had lost a lot..at this point I was scared I made my depersonalisation worse and it was fucking me up, I was seeing sick things, evil, dark colours and faces, voices...anyways after all this hell and my close encounter with almost dying from heart failure I woke up late afternoon after staying a full day and a full night in hospital, I managed to get myself up and walk to the bathroom, I looked in the mirror and my eyes were super clean like they had been scrubbed, they were so dam blue and alive looking..later i noticed I was speaking more confidently to the nurses and doctors and i realised oh shit this actually WORKED, I started to investigate this a bit more and to my surprise symptoms of my depersonalisation disorder were pretty much gone!! everything looked real again and alive, I went straight back to my hospital bed and said a prayer to god and thanked iboga, i was then getting pleasant visions, showing me a clean filing cabinet, a beautiful version of my spirit coming out of the dark and I kept seeing a red rose. It is now friday, I went out to the shops today and i couldn't believe it Ive been given a new pair of eyes, I feel spiritually 15 again, I have my energy back, i no longer feel like ppl are watching me and judging me, I can go out now not wanting to hide myself!!! THIS PLANT IS AMAZING AND SO POWERFULL I OWE IBOGA MY LIFE because before i done that flood I was in a very dark place, extremely depressed because i had done 7 ayahuasca ceremonies in Peru, which did help with some things but not much and had tried iboga a few other times, but i didn't really feel comfortable with my sitters, and I didn't take enough. this was it, i had it in my mind and i didn't care if i died or not at least i died trying because i didn't want to live with this emotional pain anymore and just wanted to be free from it. my trip was not fun, it was 36 hours in total, spending all night at home, then another day and a half in hospital with the effects still working..I thought it was never going to end seriously and I thought i did permanent damage to myself....my body actually felt quite numb for a few days after the flood, but now I've recuperated my energy and am just in awe I'm like a spring chicken again

I forgot to add to this, i do think michelle recommended a dose that was too strong for me, I think 7 capsules would have been enough. So yeah be careful with dosing!! my bf was emailing michelle and telling her the dose was too high for me..but who knows anyways thanks guys its time for a new life free of past drama!!

thinking about your experience report and my next flood i remembered an advice that i will follow and that you might benefit from as well. i remember reading (Nisargadatta Maharaj) about staying silent for a long time, in that case it was something like "after he (can't remember which sage it was) attained the pristine state, he remained silent for 20 years before starting to teach". it went on to say that it is very tempting to do tricks and be the greater person that the pristine state allows you to be, but that this can waste/disconnect you from the state you attained. i can definitely say that this is true. after my first flood i felt very much like you describe it (my first flood report is in the forums..) and i loved being outspoken, chatty, funny. it was basically enjoying the new freedom. like riding the wave of life and for the first time being able to do what ever i wanted and it making full sense. it was awesome. but i have learned since. to keep more silent. instead of jumping the gun, to wait, more patiently, until a response comes naturally, without my ego advocating. i hope this makes sense and is of help. bless you!

Glad to hear you are okay missjess.  Lessons learned for all with regards to dosing.  I also have blue eyes.  I had forgotten they were really blue up until right after my first flood.  They must have been grey clouds in my mind.......because seeing my eyes scrubbed as you put it, was surreal and liberating.  I'll never forget it, when I got home from my first flood about 5 days after and looking in the mirror.  I just thought to myself, "Tabula Rasa....Ahhhhhhh!"  Well written report.  Thanks for sharing Humbleaspen.

wonderful! please be careful with the intake of any other stimulants. i made this experience the hard way, after my first flood i started drinking cannabis teas and that broke the changes (after a couple of months!) and after my second flood i drank one single beer in the week after the flood and it broke the pristine feeling that i had in my mind. so, from my experience, i would recommend that for a long time you don't take any stimulants, but let, as much as possible, what the iboga established get rooted, deeply. good luck!

I am so happy for your missjess. :-) Now you need to do the work, you really need to start doing things you were always too scared to do and wanted to do. I might recommend microdosing too for a few months off and on as well.

Blessings to you missjess - you've had a rough road getting to this point - congratulations! It brought me great joy to read this. There is some great info on here regarding making the post flood glow last (like what to eat, exercising etc). Please let us know how things go for you over the next few months. Are you planning on taking a booster? I wouldn't microdose right away, maybe do a booster in a month's time and see how that goes. take care

humbleaspen, I am glad it seems you finally got what you were looking for from Iboga...very good to hear.  I am sorry you ended up in the hospital, I am glad you had a nurse with you.  This medicine can be dangerous and is no joke.  Regardless of that trying experience it seems to have helped you a lot... eat healthy, get exercise and start new patterns.  Now is the time.  Feel that glow sister! roxine

That's ok, I'm glad I went though coz I needed to be there to be looked after it hit me very very strong and my blood pressure went very low.. In regards to new habits and patterns yes I have plans to do so .... I have another question tho I realized I am super sensitive to stimuli at the moment,, I went to the shops and everything seemed so intense and I was very aware of sounds, movements, light. Is this normal and how long does this last for ?

Are there any guidelines and advice that I could read for after flood period?

yeah, don't go to shops   One thing Iboga teaches is less consumerism...at least for me.  Yes it is normal to get tracers and such.  I would stay home and just stay in that reflective state and let the medicine work on you...If you have to go out to get food or something be very brief.  Those will pass soon, but you should still be sleeping less for awhile. roxine

Beautiful description!  I feel bad for your horror when you were in hospital.  I did it without a sitter because my wife is so difficult.  She was screaming at me when I was frozen "What if you die?! You're such an asshole!" Over and over again.  I couldnt get as deep as I wouldve if not for her fears ruining part of my treatment.  But it was the price I had to pay for the medicine I needed.  Since Ive been so happy and full of life just the way you describe it.  Thanks for your story!  Keep shining!
