HCl arrived--planning to flood
Congratulations on your impending flood. I am surprised to hear that gabapentin attenuated wd so effectively. I have had similar results with benzos, which are functionally related. Anyway, two things I want to share. First, read my flood post. A combination of factors including insufficient dose left me ultimately unable to stop my suboxone use. Second, though it was not a flood dose, it was high enough. I was functional within three days and I used TA. Ibogaine hcl is cleaner, and shorter acting, recovery time less. I can only share my experience, I'm not really equipped to advise you, but please read my last few posts, and do what you think is best. Bear in mind, everyone is different of course, but I didn't have to go to work or anything after, so functional is a relative term. My thoughts were muddled for 4 or 5 days after.
Good Luck cloris, I hope you get the experience you need. Please let us know how it goes! roxine
Thanks for the encouragement you two. It's odd, but I feel the same way as the prior two floods. Not scared at all, but rather kind of excited and looking forward to it. I know it's not a "high" and right afterwards doing it again is about the farthest thing from your mind. This time I am going to work more towards getting insight---to the extent such a low dose flood permits. I'm actually thinking of bumping the dose up a bit. What do you think? Pockets, I am going to read your flood posts and I'll be back with questions maybe. Thanks again.
silverwren97, Went back and read your posts. Quite an ordeal, both the flood and life challenges. Sounds like you took what ibaga gave you and made the most of it. From a lot of reading I have learned and am convinced that diet, exercise, and certain vitamins and supplements can greatly ease depression and anxiety and improve outlook. I read your list of supplements and see many that others have recommended. How important of a role do you think they have had. I plan to follow your lead after my flood(diet, exercise and supplements). I'm still torn on how much iboga to take for the flood. I've been advised on and read different views. Pretty much have decided to take the middle of the road approach. About 15mg/kg of HCL. The nuerontin really does help with WD. Had my doubts also til I tried it. Will not use it close to flood but may go to it for any persisting WD symptoms. Also have the usual standbys--lopermide, clonipine, and Zanax--just in case. Need to work on putting together a stack of supplements. I like to know exactly "why" I am taking something(kind of odd for an oxy addict to say). Do you have plans to flood again soon? Look forward to more discussion.
Hi cloris, Sounds like you are on your way to a happier and healthier life, you should be excited! Do you plan on administering all the HCL at once or in stacked incremented doses, and why? I am curious.... IME, W/D never fully disappears when coming off opiates, even with Iboga (whether pain or paws). I don't care what anyone says. Opiates stick to so much of our body chemistry that no matter how much Nori we build, we will still experience the elimination of these toxins and resetting of our natural opiate system in some way shape or form. This is not a bad thing. In fact, with enough insight, fuel, guidance from Iboga, we can learn to see this resetting process as something good....a coming back to life if you will, and how precious that life really is. The process of going from 3 hours of sleep a night, back to 9 hours alone will be life changing. Arsenal Suggestions: Exercise and nutrition will help reset your biorhythms. I suggest aiding this process with melatonin (pilots use this natural aid to combat jet lag). You can take 20 mgs a night with benzos. If you still cannot sleep with these two, my personal recipe would be to add 25-100mgs of THC edibles to the mix. You will sleep like a baby, and it will take a litte while to wake up out of the haze. However, I have found that inducing this much sleep at the early stages of post flood when sleep is most difficult, your recovery time, perspective, ability to function comes back much more quickly. Our whole chemical make up is based on our waking and resting patterns. Dopamine refreshes itself every time your brain hits sleep mode (delta and theta waves). A fresh pot of dopamine with and a new set of Nori-build on your receptors and you will be on your way to a nice system reboot. I found that I needed half as much HCL by my 4th and final flood, as compared to my first flood. I always stair cased my doses as a tool of efficacy and safety, especially as a DIYer. Lastly, I can agree with the masses that MDing does seem to prolong the recovery time. So if work is an issue for you, than keep that in mind. However, if you can adapt and just deal with the extra recovery time from MDing, then you will likely have a bigger window to implement the new behavior patterns you wish to be. Best of luck cloris! Keep us posted! Peace, B-Unit
