How long after you flood can you do another one??
As I've already tried to say before Iboga is not for everyone. Honestly I think you need to work on your practical issues in life (just my opinion here) before even thinking about Iboga again. I tried to make the point in your one thread that because of your attitude approaching the medicine that it was not a prudent decision to delve into it at the time. I still feel that way and am not sure you keep looking to Iboga when it has not accomplished what you have been looking for yet. So how long for MissJess until you can do another one? Technically wait at least 3-4 months. But being realistic here and my true feeling, stop thinking about Iboga until you get on the frequency vibration to approach it with complete respect and have the order together in your framework to reap the benefits. Until then using Iboga as you are to "fix" your issues is a lost cause. IMO IMO IMO IMO IMO IMO withstanding, regard or disregard as you wish. As I am vehemetely opposed to pharmaceutical anti depressants and the casualties they cause in ones life I have no opinion on this topic. Only to say NEVER, which is on the side of a dogmatic approach for me therefore disqualifying my voice on this. Peace be with you MissJess, KP
Look I am not looking to iboga as a cure all, and I did go in with an intention and had a clear mindset not to mention preparing my body for it. I can understand it is not for all people, I just wonder why does it help some people and not others? I do respect the plant. My reason for wanting to do it is because I have reached quite a severely depressing state and have ben in a hell hole for the past 6 years getting lost in my inner world and really withdrawing from people and life. I am doing the best I can, going to join a support group, I got myself into a new home, I don't have parents to rely on and I honestly feel fragile. I have a chronic sadness and if you don't recommend anti depressants to help get me thru a tough time then that's ur opinion .. I don't like them either and have been off them for at least 2 years however when u reach a point where all you can feel like doing is crying non stop and having suicidal thoughts then wouldn't it be wise to consider the anti depressants ? So my question is literally how long can I wait to go on meds it has been about a week and a half since my iboga flood. P.s I can still have hope that it could still help me I don't know why it hasent nor do I know why it has helped other people?
Well I did preface that I had a dogmatic viewpoint on the use or non use of pharmaceuticals in general. I'm always going to be opposed to them because um well their the enemy. Even the enemy of Iboga when you really get down to the nuts and bolts of why it is illegal in the US. But anyways big side show and not related. Maybe someone with adequate anti depressent experience can chime in. I think JBG just wrote a good thread on the cases that are not successful. You fit the bill quite well on why it doesn't seem to work. That thread was written about 3 weeks ago maybe. The bottom line is you have to get out of your head and make no excuses. Nothing should be in the equation but your victory. No need to add anything to it or take anything away. You are perfect have always been perfect and then once you can snap out of the illusion that you are not perfect you will be perfectly perfect in the haven of flawless flaws.
Well that's ur opinion and yes I would still be interested to know others view points and knowledge on wen is an appropriate time to take anti depressants post flood I don't fit that bill at all, I had no doubts and was not questioning. If you add desperation in then perhaps. I was not thinking anything else I purely went in .. In the hope of resolving some things from my past that could have lead me to where I am. I am changing my attitude and I do thank the iboga for allowing me to get onto finding a new place and giving me some time to get myself a Job, join a support group and do some volunteer work. I am taking action despite my results. I was just feeling upset because I am still puzzled as to how to get out of this depersonalization and distance I feel from ppl
humbleaspen, Rejection, abandonment, neglect. It's what it all boils down to, and these feelings don't go away. We have many defenses that we use to block out this energy in motion (emotion) in order to "survive." Eventually, we can learn to experience the emotion, and become stronger for it. It's an art form that will be mastered continuously in this life..... No one is promised tomorrow. That is a damn fact! So, the question remains: What are you doing today to make tomorrow better or more manageable? What have you done today to be kind to you? Who is supporting you and how? I have seen countless people try and reach out to you, to help you. It is now your choice to thank them or not. Use this Nori-glow to bask for a moment, and smile, and breathe, repeat. Stop worrying about when it subsides. You have a powerful SSRI type chemistry going on upstairs and that cannot be messed with, otherwise there may be consequences. If you put all this time and energy you are using to predict what meds you will need when the glow begins to fade, then you have not spent enough time in the NOW if you ask me. Going out on a limb here, but what if you found a great support group, started doing breathing exercises, and practiced forms of being kind to yourself for just 3 weeks, maybe then you won't even feel the need to go back on meds. Maybe then, your glow will have integrated into all your new routines, and being kind to yourself practices, and whalla, you are making life changes. Most Psychologists will choose to believe that dramatic change in a short time is quite difficult. They are, for the most part, correct. They also aren't experienced with Iboga therapy. So, take this gift, listen to my words. Make a list, or say out loud, post here: What are you grateful for? This will be a stepping stone for you to start showing gratitude for the eternally abundant universe. Easier said than done. With a nori-glow, no excuses. Cultivate it like the tree of life! Gratitude for Iboga, for iboga, for life, for breathe, for 2nd chances, this is what I learned on my last flood. And, it still is difficult to remember when you have crazy chemistry (internal). But guess what?!?! YOU can choose to treasure the gift of the Noribogaine, thus begin to design your life in the way you wish to live. This post is a bit all over the place, as am I at the moment, but helping you also reminds me of what I need to do for me. So, forgive me if it doesn't all hit home, but the themes are relevant to everyone everywhere IMHO. PM me if you would like additional support. I also struggle with abandonment issues and would be happy to speak to you by email, phone, skype, whatever. Maybe we can encourage/build up each other. Peace, Blue
Please don't use any anti depressants for quite some time (many Months) missjess... The ibo stays in your system for quite some time, as BT says. stop focusing on when your glow will be gone, and focus on what you can do to extend it... I don't know why it works so well on some, and doesn't on others.. I do think it has a lot to do with the attitude... I know you are trying and getting some good things done, moving, a new place, a new job... Girl, give yourself some credit! In a short period of time, you have done quite a bit, not to mention an Iboga flood... Be happy about that, just try to Be Happy. I suffered greatly from depression, I don't know why I do not now, first it was the drugs I had to numb me, but that stopped working, Ibo found me. I am now depression and addiction free for the first time in my life. I really wanted it. I am still working on it. Like KP said in your other thread, use this time to make new habits, exercise your brain. If you are feeling a particular negative emotion, stop, turn it around, say to yourself, I feel wonderful. Exercise. You have the glow, you even seem to be working with it a bit, this is the time to make changes in your thought patterns, it does work. Also are you doing physical exercise and eating healthy? This helps So much, even for people suffering from depression that do not have the opportunity to do Iboga. I think it is something you need to be focusing on right now.
Oh yes I am using my time wisely believe me I've been so active and looking for jobs, handing in resumes, got a new rental and living in a new city. The reason I did iboga is because I have dissociation and I found it a struggle to be present and aware of what's going on around me and a you can imagine I found it hard to function. Now that I have been feeling alot more present I can feel fucking normal again and actually have fun, it has been a week and a half now and finally I have stopped looking over my shoulder and thinking there is danger and I feel so much more present in my own body and not disconnected. I pray to god this is permanent, it could just be the glow I really hope it's more that tho
Very good to hear missjess!!! Keep those positive thoughts coming... keep doing what you are doing and exercise that brain and body!
Make sure you are eating healthy, getting some exercise... if you have any RB microdose a bit. You don't have to do it every day but maybe every couple of days once a month, or once or twice a week, just my opinion, some even like to more often right after a flood. I seem to still get moments of the glow, months after my last flood, to me, it almost seems like I have trained my mind to stay in that glow _almost_ permanently. I have defiantly had some stressful moments, I feel myself getting upset and then boom, I am back smiling and laughing again, for no particular reason. I do micro dose occasionally, not on any sort of schedule, sometimes it just calls me... I see visions sometimes when I am going to sleep still. I still have the glow. I am not questioning when it will leave, I just try to stay positive, and it has stuck around
earthyturtle had some positive results from post flood Caapi therapy. Banisteriopsis Caapi has strong MAOI components so must avoid antidepressents. He never responded to my PM to him to make a thread about it. Rather than get angry at him for not following up with my PM (I've responded to many of his PM's about Kambo in the past hence my feelings) I will be experimenting myself and post results in another thread about extending glow. Many other ways. Unfortunately I refrain from addressing your case MissJess as you only want to hear what you want to hear by and large. Red flag in my books.
Well I am only asking questions so I can get some answers from helpfull people on the forums, you don't understand my case so it's fine if you don't want to comment.
Well I am only asking questions so I can get some answers from helpfull people on the forums, you don't understand my case so it's fine if you don't want to comment. I want to learn ways to extend the glow as well. Who wants to start the thread? OR I already have one that didn't take off quite yet, but I have so much to share, and not enough time to write about it unfortunately: https://ibogaine.club/community/please-share-lifelong-glow-techniques-and-my-new-sat-nam-mantra humbleaspen, some of your posts pre-flood had such an attacking tone to them. Like you were defending yourself. I just want to take a moment to recognize that this response to KP seems like it would have set you off pre-flood...... I hate to read too much into things, but either way, take a look at your state right now. Look how much better things are when people are calm and smiling. Whether that be on the forum or in our daily lives. You seem to be doing okay, and it's important to recognize that to the largest possible degree so you may gain respect and gratitude for the process and for everyone else who has dedicated themselves to the ultimate power of Iboga. Maybe take it down a notch, avoid conflict, be buddha, zen, stress-free, as much as can be, otherwise it will only take away from your fleeting gem that is the Nori-build. Just a friendly reminder from your fellow ebokian with a
Everybody play nice Missjess - everyone is different, some people get 'the glow' and some people just get a 'blankness' or not much at all post flood....it is all very relative. Just be cautioned into jumping right into pharmies, I have serious refractory depression - have had it since I was twelve, I am 41 (ugh) now. Even iboga will not necessarily 'cure' this - the cure is in action and it will take time. Just try to keep your chin up and moving forward. It is safe to flood twice in one year but I would not suggest more than this....really it is better to put a year in between IMO. Caapi is an excellent choice - you can do the vine w/o the DMT add mixtures that make ayahuasca so crazy. But the Vine IS ayahuasca so go light on it if you are unused to it. Also there are dietary restrictions if you use it often, if you are going to use it lightly just once - I would not be overly concerned about diet - just fast the day of. Good luck to you!
