yo yo grateful dead, thanks gd im glad u appreciate, i read of your trials as chronicled on the tribe site, the dialogue of both yourself and nobuoni(sp?) among many others was a welcomed accompaniment in my recent home experiences with rootbark, we'll get there sooner or later... 'who can stop what must arrive now, something new is waiting to be born' happy birthday pigpen good thing to know you got shoes to wear when you find the floor
Fantastic writeup my friend...I can identify with so much of what you said, I was totally in thrall to your post. Thank you for sharing that, it is an important addition to our little family here and I hope we can get to know one another more. 49mg/kg, eh? That is a HUGE dose...but sometimes doses like that - spread out over a few days as it was - are necessary for things like Suboxone and methadone. Those two are the most difficult and notorious opiates to detox from, with or without ibogaine. Yours is a glowing testament to the power of this medicine, and the resilience of Life - I am very grateful you decided to share that with us. My brother underwent his first treatment with the Medicine several years ago in Florida, and at the time the facilitator(s) actually ended up 'cutting him off' - they'd given him nearly 3g of the hcl, more than they had given anyone else before and it would have gotten into questionable territory to say the least. At the time he was right at 100 kilos, but - by his own admission, he was not ready for such an experience, and consequently no amount of ibogaine would have been sufficient for him. It was only later after seeing another friend beat methadone with with ibogaine, and after suffering more pains and problems from his addiction that he decided the time was right and that he would try it again. He successfully detoxed with a total alkaloid extract which we prepared ourselves from the root bark, at a dose of 15mg/kg. This says much about a person's state of mind and their willingness to participate in their own healing. We must DO IT, not simply let it happen. I am very impressed by your story, and glad to have you here, thank you and welcome to Ibogaine Club!
Hey b! Thanks for posting here, that was a great read. It's always a trip to think about where you were, see you sitting there in my minds eye, laughing on the couch. It's a small world, this Ibo community. How did the bark set you? Welcome to the forum! Love, Tia (You know me through FB, too.)
Hi B. Wishing you the best I hope it works the first time. May I ask how long were you at the place. It seems like a nice place, thanks for the info and your story. cinderpath
It is a small (international) community, i just saw the 'babe in the woods' quote on FB, my best attempt at going deep cover on a forum (the 1st i've joined). I was in Mexico for a month, 2 weeks prior to Tx and 2 after. could have used much more time post. the chills and light sleep last over a month, the glow 3 months. The bark, of which i still have a bit, is/was wonderful. I used it in detox a bit before this post, relapsed after an infected tooth extraction, as I had had no prior desire to use figured the 'mild' tooth pain meds would be no issue. If i was to do the same or share it with another i would capsule the RB as several hours and grams in it got really hard to put and keep down.
I am confused on what your saying about the rb? It makes you sick? can you expand on the rb?
i wouldn't say the bark in and of itself made me sick, but about 8 hrs and 10+ grams in it got really hard to get the wood down past the gag reflex kinda thing, i'm generally not a 'puker', even tried mixing it with yogurt, sara g says she uses bark in detox and capsules it, about 1/2 g in a cap. sounds like that makes a lotta sense, the difference between the 'feel' of the bark vs the hcl was tremendous. almost like comparing marinol and herb, but not really. like morphine vs poppy pod tea? a richer experience? thou the bark was a real low dose and the hcl was a very high dose. having read more on all things ibo and the hcl dose i had and the dilaudids i ate mid dose i'm thinking the facilitator in mexico was outstanding. the fact i can remember so much of my travels really speaks to his timing in keeping me close to the 'surface' while allowing me the time to drop back in to the 'depths'. not too much attention as to be invasive or overburdening. bravo. blessings. basse.
same here atom - after the 10g mark it becomes REAL tough to keep eating that wood...I've eaten 30g once and 24g another time...suffice to say the overall experience was powerful but man, the purges. I'll stick with a TA for big sessions from now on.
ohh... your talking about real BARK! I got it. Cudo's to ya on eating bark. Dont think I could do it. I have a hard time with eating shrooms.. I have to put it in jalopeno's to get it down. I just read someone sharing about making a tea with it. If I ever get the chance to do them again I will try making a tea out of it.
