Microdosing 1st-timer...Stay-at-home-mom...Bad Idea???

This is my first post here...sooooo exciting!!! And as a newbie, I'm leaning heavily on the experience/advice of others to determine whether or not this amazing plant is right for me. I've been battling a tramadol addiction secretly for 5 years and have decided that it must go. After several weeks of researching iboga and reading all of the fantastic info from your members I honestly can't wait for my package to arrive!! I would LOVE to experience a full flood however I have no available childcare for 3 days anytime in the near future and my husband would think I've completely lost my marbles for even considering such. So, I've tapered down on the tramadol and am ready to kick this shit to the curb! Many attempts have been made to quit but I've relapsed every time due to the terrible depression and malaise that follows this antidepressant/opiate drug. I'm praying that the iboga world 300mg capsules that I ordered will help me begin to heal what damage I've done. My BIGGEST concern is the well being of my 3yr old son that I care for during the day. I desperately need the healing of this plant but only have the option currently to use it as a supplement. The experiences I read here seem to vary but for the most part seem mild for microdosing. Any advice would be SO VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. I have to take this journey back to myself somehow...and I desperately need the insight and healing. How do I microdose and achieve this goal??

earthyclover72, welcome, you are being called!  First and foremost, feel free to PM me if you would like to speak by phone ever.  Tramadol is a nasty drug, just like Kratom.  I think it doesn't get you high like Vicodin/Oxy's, but it does just as much damage.  I am not sure what the protocols are for Tramadol and flooding specifically, but we can find that out easily. Bottom line, it seems you'll benefit most from a flood dose.  Micro dosing is not going to provide you the same reinforced take off ramp that you need to clear this jump.  Typically, microdosing is meant to compliment a flood dose (post flood), especially in times of addiction interruption.  I get the Mom piece and your hubby not being on board.  I didn't have full support of my family, but that's because they care and people are scared of the unknown naturally.  You want a flood dose of HCL.  What type is coming to you?    Carve out your time and space to be healed.  Sure, it's a secret now.  That's going to make it a challenge.  But you NEED to do this right.  And that may mean thinking of solutions to carve out this time and space (and get support) that entail spilling the beans to someone close.  If you can find Iboga, you can find child care.  Think outside the box.  If you want to achieve success, you must DEMAND the proper healing time and space.  Easier said than done, I know.  This may mean a talk with your husband....... Keep posting, you should be met here with love, brutal honesty, and support.

DO NOT take iboga and Tramadol together....not even in the same 24 hours just to be safe, okay? Microdosing is fine if one cannot flood - but if you mean you plan to dose them together to gradually come off the Ultram I highly advise against it. This would fall under the realm of we call 'dirty maintenance' - using iboga/ibogaine concomitantly with an opiate in order to break down the opiate tolerance and eventually abstain. This is usually not recommended and especially for people brand new to 'all this'. Remember safety first always. And I would in any case try your first microdose during a time set aside from having to care for your child, microdosing by definition is a sub-psychoactive dose, but until you familiarize yourself you do not know your sensitivity to the wood. One small dose will almost certainly never be overwhelming, but it could be more than expected and you don't want to be altered having to look after a kid. I am sure your priorities are straight -  and I am only trying to illustrate some things to consider for someone new to this medicine. I sure do understand the excitement of waiting to get your hands on it - like waiting for Santa to come  welcome to the forum and I look forward to seeing you around. Blessings to you and your family and good luck, brightwillow
