My first meeting with Iboga
Thanks dude! Well I would never mess with whole root ever again...it was a definite poisoning. Apparently you can use in small doses as an anti-addiction tonic, much like root bark micro-dosing, and apparently in central Africa it is used as an anti diarrhoea medication. Based on experience I think that there is definitely a lot more nasties in the whole root, and few active alkaloids, relative to the root bark (and the second inner layer of root bark in particular I believe).
Thanks for the awesome post. Being from Africa means I am biased, but still good post.
Big thanks for your kind words man! And welcome!
Great report Bancopuma, thanks for sharing it. Is the healer you worked with based in the UK?
Thanks for sharing, awesome report puma! You're a most welcome addition to the family my friend!
Thanks guys! And yes shawnee39 my 'healer' is based in the UK. Worryingly he considers himself a nganga and has never been initiated into Bwiti or trained in Gabon. We had a BIG fall out over money and the way he conducts himself during the Iboga sessions, and I definitely can't recommend him, and would stay steer clear. Still though it is thanks to him I got to experience Iboga for that first time, and that was a truly amazing experience I am very grateful for.
Ah ok, thanks for the heads up.
