A 24-year-old woman died during ibogaine treatment in the Netherlands in 1993. The case series reports an interval of about 19 hours after ingestion.
Postmortem testing detected ibogaine, noribogaine and trace morphine. The autopsy did not establish a cause. The case-series authors proposed combined intoxication.
