A 27-year-old man was found dead at a center in France in 2006 after reported ingestion of powdered iboga root.
The forensic record describes ibogaine, methadone and benzodiazepines in postmortem testing. The case-series authors considered the combination relevant to the fatal intoxication. Keep the 2013 Mazoyer paper on this same 2006 card. A possible Le Parisien news report on a similar event exists, but the age differs and the link requires verification before use.
