KNOWN FATALITYCAUSALITY: ALLEGED
Cañas Dulces de Liberia, Guanacaste, Costa Rica
April 2014
Bente Solberg, a Norwegian woman, died in April 2014 at Iboga House Center in Canas Dulces de Liberia, Costa Rica. La Nacion reported that forensic authorities linked the death to a cardiac complication following ibogaine ingestion.
Norwegian newspaper VG identifies her as Bente Solberg, aged 42. La Nacion reports age 41 and a different spelling of the name. Its account attributes the medical finding to Costa Rica's forensic authority. The underlying forensic report was not reviewed. Internal note: Appendix rows 27 and 36 in the Arns database appear to describe this same death - do not duplicate. La Nacion later calls the venue "Gabon House Center".
