6 months later...now need 2nd flood

Hi All, Ive not been on this website for a while. Ive been rediscovering my life again. After my flood dose of Iboga In November i learned to love life and rediscover all those things that i once saw as mundane. Iboga gave me my life back and its been fantastic. However, A few weeks ago i made the mistake of drinking alcohol and thought i might be alright. As a result i got drunk on a few occasions and started using coke again. Ive started having flashbacks of my previous life and dont like it. I aint ever going back to the desperation of that life again so..... Ive ordered another 4grams of TA and plan to take it in a few weeks. I hope to learn the lessons of using again and make sure after my next flood dose i wont touch a drop of alcohol again. I am still in a strong place (mentally) and i hope that my swift reaction in taking that 2nd flood will prevent me getting back into my old patterns of desperation again. The Iboga has taught me to be precious about my thoughts. When i used to use, i used to beat myself up and tell myself i was a bad person and worthless. When i have used recently i have ignored these negative thought patterns and i think thats why i am in a good place. Anyway, Thats it from me, I hope you are all well. Love and light, quietvalley51

Ryu , it sounds like a good plan you have there . i wish you the best . There is nothing more admirable than someone whom can pick themselves up off the mats , dust themselves off ( looking at the task at hand) and get back into the ring again . I am cheering for you !!! Thanks for sharing . much love and healing . - harvey Plex

Don't be discouraged by a few drawbacks. It is a common phenomenon for people struggling with addiction. Most people have to deal with them at some point, it doesn't mean that you're back where you started.

Hey man, thanks for  posting. What you are going through is pretty typical. Indeed though ibogaine works wonders at addiction interruption, it usually does take more than one 'time' for most people. If your using is anything like mine then this is to be expected. I have seen people stick with it after one session but this is very rare. The lasting results usually come after an initial exposure and a relapse - to me this is all part of the process and takes nothing away from the first episode or ibogaine's potential. I do not make a 'big deal' about relapse for many reasons, the main one is that I would hate for someone to be discouraged and addicts do not need a reason or an excuse to relapse so I tend to tone it down with respect to those notions...if someone in very early recovery is thinking about a relapse and they read, 'hey it is normal or not uncommon to relapse after a first flood' then poof! away they go. Like I said, I have definitely seen it take off on the first try but usually it takes another flood - or some heavy boosters to do the trick. Just understand it is a process and your being honest and not beating up on yourself will go a long way I think. Good luck and thank you for sharing

Hey guys, Thanks for all your support. Well, my TA came in the post today so i am planning on doing it next weekend. Will 7-10 days of abstinance from drink and drugs be safe enough to proceed? Im gonna eat lots of good food, plenty of omega 3 & 6 and lots of water. Any additional advise in prep would be appreciated! Ive read some great stuff on re-programming my mind afterwards with positive affirmations. I really want to conquer my addiction this time. Is it safe to use Iboga every six months to prevent relapse or only when nessecary? Love and light to you all. PS if you can think of anything that might be useful for me before and after it will be much appreciated.

Hi quietvalley51, I doubt using ibogaine every 6 months will hurt you, in fact I think it is a great idea.   - JIM
