Any Salvia Chewers Out There?
I have never tried Salvia, but the "Core of the Earth" part resonates with me profoundly. During my second "booster" or mini flood or whatever it was, Iboga showed me the core of the earth, actually there were many plant spirits saying "We are at the core..." The CORE of the Earth" and repeating this, I didn't understand so they showed me. I saw many beings floating around in the inner core (hot magma?) but were growing up through the layers, outer core, mantle and growing through to the surface... I got it! " We Are The CORE (or at the core) Of the EARTH" !!!! WOW.
bump. There is definitely a connection between the two plants, Iboga and Salvia. Somehow. The anti-addictive, grounding energy of the kappa-opioid agonism. Does this call for combination experimentation? Chewing a Salvia quid while on Iboga? Jaguar, growling face energy. Transcendence of desire. Love. Awareness of how your life is a Story, and perhaps the realization that you are the Author of it. ...These are all things that I find both in Iboga and Salvia. I don't do Iboga very often at all, for reasons that should be obvious to anyone on this forum, so I don't know if I'll be able to try this combination any time soon, but I do wonder if anyone else is interested in the possible synergy between the two plant consciousnesses. Or perhaps there is just a similarity between the two, and we should leave it at that, and not dabble like fools in the magic that we are already provided by these magnificent, powerful plants. Either way, I'd like to get a conversation going. Oh, and I'm not talking about smoked Salvia. Totally different thing, and, if you ask me, smoking it is sacrilegious to the plant.
mistyfalcon17, I would be interested in hearing about an experiment combing the two, possibly with just some RB. If you ever get around to it be sure an let us know how it goes! Iboga synergizes well with some other entheogens for sure but both of these are dissociatives so I wonder... I have been to frightened to try salvia, but I have only heard negatives from smoking it, so maybe I will try chewing it someday?? roxine
Don't let people's stories of smoking 20x and up scare you. They're abusing the plant. They BETTER be scared, smoking that much. The plant is meant to be chewed. I've also smoked it many times, but at smaller extracts, like 5x, 10x, 13x. At that level it's a little uncomfortable, but not scary, especially if you just do a little. You're not meant to blip off into some unknown reality. The best way to do it is to alter THIS one, and meet the Salvia halfway. Salvia can create a beautiful energetic space in which there can be much productive learning (or unlearning). Chewing provides the most opportunity for integration because of its long duration and gradual come-up. And it's just how the plant wants to be treated. Anyhoo, I have no intention of doing Iboga again any time soon (I did it most recently this past December) so I wonder if anyone else is interested in testing the waters of this relationship.
I love Salvia too, and I always chewed it. Last time though, Salvia gave me a long anxiety, it was like I was shivering all the time... On the other hand, most of my previous experiences were healing and glowing, great long lasting anti depressant, feeling reborn and refreshed. I bet set and sitting, and the state of mind are significant when approaching Salvia.
can you say that again...Salvia is very story-ness. and when it finishes, its like you have something to pursue in this life
This is wonderful inspiring information. I also remember over on the Ayahuasca forum there was a nice thread going a while back. But somehow someway you guys really inspired me, must be the Iboga in y'all that rooted it for me.

Hey mistyfalcon17 how much do you chew? Do you use it with a pinch of baking soda?I have chewed I think a gram or two in the past and had some interesting dreamy effects where I could clearly hear beetle sounding guitar music. I I could have written it down that would have been cool. I want to use it again for that purpose. I was afraid to do more because of scary experiences with smoked salvia in my teenage years, but as I understand chewing has different effects than smoked extract. Would it be advisable to have a sitter? I have some salvia leaf but I am alone in my house until next week.
I chew... I dunno. A wad. Enough to fill my mouth but leave a little space for saliva buildup. And what would be the purpose of the baking soda? I personally don't think a sitter is necessary for chewed Salvia. You will probably end up closing your eyes and lying down or sitting still. It's quite a peaceful experience, I've found. It's much more gentle and gradual and handle-able than the smoked experience. I think you'll be fine, as long as you prepare your room to be safe and comfortable when you do it. Let us know how it goes, if you do it! <3
Baking soda I think is unneccessary. The only leaves that require baking soda are coca leaves as far I know. Also, Salvinorin A isn't a alkaloids but a terpene. What is neccessary is some kind of sugarlike substance (present in leaves but not in extract). There was topic on this on the DMT Nexus, but I couldn't find it. I'm curious if dried leaves work as well. Still have a load of them, so that would be nice .
Yea the baking soda was for better absorption but its probably not needed, i just took that from the coca leafs. If you have dried leafs then you can re hydrate them samyama. www.sagewisdom.org seem like it has good information.
Found a better method: https://www.bluelight.org/community/threads/salvia-tea-experienced-smooth-subtle-and-powerful.670417/ (by yours truly)
Leaves are tasty . I tried one leaf for now. Got some feeling from it. Next time I'll try 3 or 4 of them. How long do you chew it? I tried 20 minutes this first time.
20 minutes is good. Though, I encourage you to check out the Tea ROA I talk about in the link I posted above. It's cleaner, and potentially much more powerful.
