Coming home after treatment - how did you handle damaged relationships?
I'm 42 and have been dealing with opioid addiction for longer than I'd like to admit. I'm seriously considering ibogaine treatment, but I keep thinking about what comes after. My addiction has done real damage to my relationships with family and a few close friends. Some of them don't trust me anymore, and honestly I can't blame them.
For those who've been through treatment and come back home, how did you approach rebuilding those connections? Did you give people space or try to reconnect right away? I'm wondering if there's a way to do this that doesn't come across as just making more promises.
