Finding peer support back home after treatment abroad
I'm a 42 year old guy from Canada with a long history of opioid addiction. I'm seriously considering ibogaine treatment, but most of the reputable centers seem to be in Mexico or elsewhere outside the country. My concern is what happens when I get back home. The treatment itself is only a few days, but real recovery is obviously a longer process.
For those of you who traveled abroad for treatment, how did you find community and peer support once you returned? Did you connect with local groups, online communities, or something else? I want to have a realistic plan in place before I go.

Hey Marcus! You're absolutely right, aftercare is super important. I'd say that preparation and aftercare together account for at least 50% of a successful outcome. That's exactly why our team created the Integration & Aftercare Directory: https://ibogaine.club/integration By the way, you can also access it through the "My Journey" section of your profile!

Thanks for pointing me to that directory, I had not noticed it before. I will take a look and see what options might be available in my area for when I get back.
