Garifuna Music

I have for some time been searching for Bwiti like music that was not quite as intense so flooders can have a palatable and digestably enjoyable selection of music.  I've known Garifuna music since I saw the legend Andy Palacio perform 6 years ago at Floyd Fest.  But I have become even more enthralled to find this band called the "Garifuna Women's Project" and the particular album is called Umalali.  Here is a sample... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wh_tnf2y21w You can grooveshark it to find the whole album.  The Garifuna are very special people and some report they have a direct unbroken lineage to Africa haven not been taken as slaves but coming over to the west (Island St. Vincent) on there own.  Then they migrated to the Mayan lands of Belize, Honduras and elsewhere.  I met these people when they came to Floyd Fest and found them to be very special.  What they have to offer I think deserves attention.
