No it is not the same. In fact although it is not clearly calculated and please don't take my word for it, it is about 2.3x more TA per mg than it is for hcl. But we need others inputs on that. So for instance if you were talking 15mg per kg for hcl that would be more like 35mg per kg for TA. But that's just how I personally would calculate it, to the best of my knowledge there is no clear cut scale ratio for TA mg per kg. At least I don't remember any. It also really depends on the quality of TA. Whether it is professional grade TA which is actually Purified Total Alkaloid (can also be made at home but takes a few more steps than standard vinegar TA), or homemade TA. Vast difference in potency. So I would say with TA especially it is good to stagger doses cutting into 3 or 4 parts the dosage taking them every 15 minutes. Some with the hcl opt for taking it all at once as the optimal method for it specifically. This is true but at the same time if you're a very healthy individual and you stagger the dose a bit you can easily take more if you are really going for a spiritual breakthrough. Just be safe and careful in general is the best advice. Glad you did so much research and the best of luck to you.

I would have assumed it wasn't the same ratio for both, but like I said haven't been able to find anything clearly marking what the difference would be. I have also read that a stronger amount, (20mg+) is recommended for opiate users because it causes some of the receptors to be blocked, or not as easily accesible to the medication, so in theory I would not need as much, and like I said would likely aim for about 15, not particularly wanting to go above 18 or so at most. I have read a lot of people have staggered it, it seems to be popular if not preferable to many. This may be preferable to me as well. (not that I am comparing the following) But in my past experiences with hallucinogens, I had an incredible high tolerance to LSD and 2C-B, while DMT (a smaller amount, but with MAOI inhibitors) rocked my party so hard my body just shut down and went to sleep. So, since this is all new and I understand that one cannot fully understand what to expect AT ALL, my mind set is far from "go big or go home", while still breaking through.
Well another thing to keep in mind is that not everyone has the same sensitivity to Iboga - just as you detailed your varying sensitivity to LSD versus DMT. There are some people who have to take a relatively large dose just to get microdosing effects while others would be halfway to a flood on that amount. Its a good idea to take a test dose the night before (if you do a search, you'll find what others have used for a test dose) - but again, the test dose you take will depend on the type & quality of what you're taking be that TA, PTA or HCL as well as taking your weight into account. Hi vividhawk65, Welcome! I too am happy you have done so much research already, seems like you have a pretty good idea of what you are looking for. I agree with both KP and entheo_newbie.. It is kind of hard to judge how much a person will need for a psycho-spiritual, I think the vendor/provider you go with would be able to come up with a good dose for you based on their particular grade TA or HCL. roxine
Hey, you have done a pretty good research and I think you are on the right path. but again I always advice to take contact with a spiritual adviser, Here in Gabon we don't go ahead consuming without meeting a spiritual guardian. if you read about it you will know its a very highly respected plant here in Gabon ( bois secrète ) and in English ( Secret tree). I have seen so many people from every part of the world getting their addiction problems, spiritual problems etc solves within couple of weeks. its a great experience when you follow the right path. I will seek the face of some spiritual guiders of Eboga here in Gabon and will give you some answers to some of your questions as well. but still I think my friends comments on this subject should be taking into consideration as you know the western way of doing things are always different from that of Africa but then turns to be the same thing.
