HELP: Multiple floods to finally kick for good

Hey Can we get some posts from some of you who it took more  than one flood to finally stay clean. I've been working with someone who flooded 2x First time was the first time they ever had clean time (6 months) since they hard started heroin 10 years earlier Second time they went almost 6 months but not only stayed clean but totally changed around their life and really started living well Now that he fell again he feels frustrated and hopeless that iboga does not work for him I've try to explain that life and recovery are all processes and for some people it goes in one shot, while others it takes 3 or even 5 times Can we get some posts of encouragement from some of you that took repeated floods Thanks JBG

Maybe Blue Tiger has something to say about this... I did read in 'Iboga, the Visionary root of African Shamanism'  That sometimes it takes more than once... and after two, three or even four times people finally unlearn their bad habits and start new ones... I would like to hear more on this as well. Thank You JBG!

I have done two floods. The first was about three years ago and I stayed clean for two years. Relapsed and flooded again this past August, however, I again foolishly went back to the pain pills in December. I have 2 g of HCL ordered that I expect to receive in about a week. My plan is to do a low-dose flood followed by at least one booster. I am totally convinced that ibogaine offers the best chance of successfully getting off opiates. My drug of choice has been oxycodone. I attribute my relapses and lack of success to my own lack of effort. As someone else here has said, ibogaine does half the job and you need to do the other half. I think simply changing lifestyles such as quitting smoking, good nutrition and exercise post iboga can make a big difference. There are also some vitamins and supplements that members here recommend. I am by no means an expert on the topic, but you asked for encouragement from anyone who's done more than one flood. I would simply tell your friend to not give up. He's on the right track with ibogaine. Before trying ibogaine, I quit cold turkey one time without the help of any medications. The difference with having the assistance of ibogaine is huge. Some of the members on here who have the greatest knowledge have required multiple attempts to kick the habit. Best of luck to your friend.

I took two floods, before I made the required effort to stay clean. First time I was clean for 8 months. This time it has been over 18 months and that is because I got into a recovery program, which allowed me to do some thorough housecleaning, showed me the importance of meditation and action, and to have a support network. It sometimes takes more than one for some people. The second was an arse-kicking, unlike my first.

4 floods and now I believe I am finally done with opiates.  I took half as much as I did my first flood, and had the most meaningful visions as well, also woke up in full blown detox (was for Kratom extracts though).  I believe I made a spiritual connection on flood #4.  Maybe it was Iboga saying, "Dude, wake up!  You cannot keep coming back here (relapsing and flooding).  It is dangerous for humans to meet the source.  Look at this gift of life and do what you will with it."  The more I think about that, and how special it was, the more absurd it seems going back to that life.  Opiates = death for me now.  Simple.  There is so much that is involved with my staying clean beyond Iboga though.....I guess we can link "Lifestyles of the Clean and Flooded."  It's about time people start participating in this thread that Cal started.  I don't want to be the only one sharing, although I could post here daily if I cared to.  It is important and useful beyond what people can see.  Thanks in advance for sharing! https://ibogaine.club/community/lifestyles-of-the-clean-and-flooded One Love,  B-Unit

I think it is rare for anyone to stay clean past the six month mark with a single flood experience. I have only seen it in a few people. Most folks really do require a second or third try. There is never any shame in this, it is - as you have stated - a process, and in my experience with the Medicine and my experiences helping others with it, I have seen it take multiple times usually. I think it would be prudent to come up with a 'program' that would include two floods twelve months apart.. One initial experience followed by boosters in 9o days, maybe some 12 step work, and another flood experience (whether you need it or not  ) between 9 and 12 months. I have been dumb with iboga, just like I have been dumb with every drug/chemical I have ever used, but iboga has won my respect like nothing else and the only time I think it is not okay to use this for detox is if we have the attitude 'oh man it's cool- I can use now and just flood whenever to kick' THAT would be a problem. Otherwise, any provider with enough experience should tell you that yes it IS possible to remain clean after one treatment but that MOST people require an additional experience. This is not uncommon. And it still does not take away from ibogaine's efficacy - detractors would use this fact against us, but really most people STILL manage to put together more time than they (maybe) ever had after one tx, then after a relapse, they come back to it with fresh vision and open-mindedness...as a friend is so fond saying, "Crawl, Walk, Run"
