Iboga Spiritual Rebirth

leona, I think this is such a personal question you may need to answer it for yourself. When you say you are 95 percent blind in your third eye, what do you mean? Did you have what you would consider 100 percent vision with it before your accident? Some people have had no accidents and they don't report any strong visions with any psychadelic, but their minds function fine. It is very easy to doubt yourself and get fixated on a personal flaw, assuming everyone else experiences something you do not. Remember: there is no way to know someone else's experience. IMO it is more important to know yourself, and make your own experience as meaningful as possible. I think a spiritual rebirth for you could be embodying this idea: to accept yourself for who you are and to know that your spiritual existence is above any physical damage you may have to your body. What are you hoping to learn from having visions? good luck

I'm not sure if I ever dreamed in my life. I'm 32 y/o and just always thought some people dreamed and some did not. I became very spiritual about 4 years ago. I started working with many different natural psychedelics and wondered why I never had any visions. I eventually tried Iboga and thought it would finally be the one that would work for me. I was wrong. I realized my third eye was badly damaged from hitting my head really bad and cracking my skull when I was 5 y/o. I can't remember if I ever dreamed before that. After working with many different psychedelics I dream sometimes, but it's always VERY - mostly black and grey. The dreams are very short and like I said very dark. I feel like I have a spiritual destiny and would like to be a healer one day. I've been told by a very powerful healer and also a shaman that my third eye will heal in time. I've been working on it for about 3 years now with very little progress. I'm not sure if I will ever be able to heal it completely. I am grateful that I didn't die or become retarded when I cracked my skull, but it's very frustrating not having the use of my third eye when I am such a spiritual person. I was thinking the other day and realized even very powerful saints and healers can become maimed. As a result, I think my intuition is much more powerful since I don't have use of my third eye. I'm starting to learning to be more thankful for the things I do have, but still trying to hold onto the hope that it will heal eventually. It's a learning process.

I have neglected to comment on this because I am not sure I understand the third eye blindness stuff.  I mean the third eye is not really something you can actually prove is there.  I am not one to get really strong visions from most psychedelics unless I do doses larger than probably anyone you ever heard of...  Do you smoke cannabis?  I either don't realize my dreams or remember them when I smoke a lot of herb, but when I stop for a few days, my dreams come in super vivid and are much easier to remember..  I have never heard of a blind third eye, since it's not even a real eye..

No I don't smoke pot. I used to but it makes no difference for me. The first three times I did Iboga I was at Iboga House. I actually met a lady there the first night I was there (before my first dose) that told me she had a busted third eye. She told me it happened from a bad car accident (10 year prior). She said she hit her head really hard and had not dreamed at all in the past 10 years since it happened. I didn't think much of it till the next night when I couldn't get any visions at all from a large dose of Iboga. After many hours of effort Moghenda told me it was busted. I know it must have happened from me cracking my skull when I was a child. The third eye is not very understood by most people. I have read that there are calcite crystals around it. I have come to the conclusion that they create a crystal matrix similar to an LCD (liquid crystal display) television. When someone hits their head hard enough, the crystals can be damaged or break. The shaman told me some people can recover and some can't. It all depends on the severity of the damage. When you think about it - anything round that takes a hard blow absorbs the blow in the center. The pineal gland is located directly in the center of the head. There really is no literature on this subject.I was thinking about writing a book on it one day.

LMAO!!  Moughenda is a scam artist!  The problem with people going to shaman is that they are often manipulated and told outrageous stories so the "shaman" can keep working on your "issues" while you keep paying him more money.  You should read the thread here about Moughenda and his outrageous claims, and vivid imagination, along with his preying upon women while he gets them hopped up and out of their gourd on iboga.  http://Ibogaine.club/index.php?topic=394.0 There is no proof of what the pineal gland was, or what it does, and you should maybe be a bit more skeptical or else you'll easily be taken for a chump..  I have had all sorts of amazing psychedelic experiences that have helped shape who I am today.  I have opened my mind and had my "third eye" wide opened.  All this means is that I had a revelatory experience.  I had some epiphany, then integrated into my life so I could live a more full life.  You can paint this concept with all sorts of metaphors and color it up for the new agers who make all these pseudo treatments and pseudo-sciences, but that doesn't make it real..  I am not trying to insult you at all, so please don't take it that way.  There could be plenty of reasons the iboga didn't give you visions.  Not everyone has vivid visions, and usually after the first flood, the visions are WAY less intense and vivid.  I can go on, but I think the point I am trying to make is that you are buying into some goofballs story, and it is not doing you any good, nor is there any shred of evidence or proof that he is correct.. I am normally against just a western view of medicine, but in your case, I might suggest you take the western approach a little more serious than anything you hear from Moughenda Mikala...

I understand that Moughenda's credibility has been compromised but that doesn't change the facts of the rest all of this. I have made progress but it's been very slow. I did get a little bit of light shades of color the last flood dose I did. Compared with no color at all the first few times. The only dreams I've had in my life that I would consider "vivid" were very dark black and grey. Actually one dream I tried to turn on the light in the room I was in and it wouldn't come on. I thought the power was cut.... That was before I realized my third eye was damaged. I know it can be hard for someone that has never cracked their skull or had a traumatic head injury to understand. I can't make pictures in my head... I can think just fine - just not with pictures.

I don't think in pictures...  Unless I do a HUGE dose of iboga, like 30+ mgs/kg my visions are very transparent and lack any real color.  Maybe a slight reddish hue, or shades of grey, but I honestly think you are expecting more than you should.  Besides, with ALL psychedelics, except perhaps DMT, the visuals are of little significance...  For me, it's more about the thoughts, the state of mind, and the epiphanies or revelations I come to, that usually have very little to do with any visual effects.  The visuals are just entertainment, for me, if I even get them.

That sounds about the same as what I get. Most people I ask about their dreams say they are very life like and vivid. They say it's like they are really there. I have never dreamed like that in my life. Have you ever hit your head really hard or cracked your skull? Maybe there's a chance you could have damaged your third eye and not even know it...

I've never had a head injury, and like I said, I have no problem getting the full benefits of all psychedelics..The visual aspects really aren't that big of a deal.  When I first started using them a long time ago, I would sometimes get more intense eye  open visuals, and that was fun, but not much more than that.  It's the feelings, thoughts, and the revelations that open your "third eye", and the visuals are just a distraction..  I am speaking of open eye visuals.  Iboga does give me the mind pictures, but as I stated, they are not intensely vivid unless I do a VERY LARGE dose, and I haven't had anything like the first flood did, in all my subsequent floods.  I really think you are expecting more than you should.  I am a spiritual person, and have helped enlighten and teach people about all sorts of aspects of the trip  and human/life experience.  Once in awhile I meet someone who actually sees stuff that isn't there, or they get intense visions, but that is usually someone who is very new to the psychedelic experience, and they don't quite grab the important concepts right away, usually.  The visuals attract people, but they aren't the important part of the experience...  Seriously...  Reread what rho wrote, as I think he hit the nail on the head.    For intense visuals open or closed eye, take a nice dose of ketamine, then vaporize a nice large hit of DMT, and that should be one of the most intense visual experiences you may ever experience, but I am not sure it will do much to really enlighten you.

I was gonna chip in here.. I see GD is on the job though and I'd have to agree w/ about everything he said. But I used to go into psych's looking for the visuals, and it's been those times that I've gotten very minimal. I feel it's the blast of thoughts, emotions, introspective, and of course a good body buzz that paints the picture for most visuals. But like GD said, I'd agree strongly that the visuals aren't really a big deal as far as the "rebirth" Do you lack imagination? Just curious if that's an aspect. I'm guessing you enjoy art? Could you take your thoughts, emotion, and perspective and try to draw a picture? See what comes from that.. Nothing, scrap and start over; Something, work off that and create your own visuals. What do you want or expect to see? I'd say the visuals of my 2nd flood were most strongest (I took a LARGE dose), yet it did not contribute to the "rebirth" part much at all. The first time the visuals were mild, prism like, it was the aftermath of the flood that changed me. An empowering feeling of control of your life that the visuals had little to do with at all. The only useful ones for me, that stuck w/ me, were of thoughts of the worst parts of my opiate binges. They came up with the thought of an oxy, and I didn't mind that.. kind of a healthy fear thing for myself. But everything else with the rebirth had nothing to do w/ visuals but much with the 'third eye' I think your looking into the third eye part a little too much. We can't cure common injuries/cancers/viruses as is, let alone our most intelligent of humans really know little about the 'third eye/pineal gland'. I'd think of the serenity saying with this one. or else you might spend the rest of your life searching for something you may never find in your lifespan. Personally, that'd drive me crazy and I have a hard time enjoying the quality of the little life we do have to enjoy. But if you think you can heal your third eye 2-3% at a time with frequent 'cracking of the head trips', more power to ya and I hope it opens up to your likings. For my the third eye isn't about the visuals, it's more like a blind guide. It doesn't see neccessarily, but works with the conscience and the human spirit and brain. It's a beautiful world out there, don't pay thousands and more to try to see something that may not be there. Just my quick 2 cents. Hello leona. I have cracked my head open many times...literally. What's this business about damaging your 3rd eye? I have seriously cracked my head open like 5 times bad...fight, bike, falling, car wreck,etc. Let me know please.

Wow that sucks Ibark does your third eye still work well? Maybe my third eye was weak since birth. Not entirely sure. I just know I'm 90% blind in my third eye. I just recently started working with Synaptolepis kirkii and it seems to be helping me dream better than ever before in my whole life. What strategies have worked for you?

No, but I have Daime friends that do.  The ones I make are not nearly as potent as what I get from the Huni Kuin (Kaxinawa Tribe), those are so freaking potent that it is like a Kambo ordeal that lasts for 5 minutes of unbelievable pain.  But the cleansing is remarkable.  I swear if one was to put a valid price on those sacred drops it would be like $10 a drop per eye.  So sacred so utterly sacred the power and force and energy it transmits for days.  So that strong one I only use so often and other than a few other friends I horde it.  The kind I make I use a little more often as it has Colloidal Silver to balance the strength.  If you use it during Aya or directly before it will both accelerate the force of the Aya as well as open your third eye.  Especially if you do 3 dots of Kambo on brain points of the ear 2-5 hours before ceremony.  Than doing Ruma/Rape' after you do the Sananga (because it cleanses the sinuses too) and your third eye buhm blossoms even more.  Can be painful though if one goes just a step too far.  Must be precise and oriented to these medicines.

PS the kind you had (from Giovanni) is what I made.  Not nearly as strong.  I see why you asked now.  The burning is so intense it is nearly unbearable.  Need some thing to dig your hand claws into as you squirm.  Makes tears come out at the 5 minute mark that it's like rainfall and your sinuses totally cleanse like never before.  It is remarkable to have on earth.

Yeah the ones I had from Giovanni weren't intense so they could probably be used on a more regular basis. Maybe start slow and gradually increase the frequency.
