Thanks PK, good to hear.  Time to bring out that old IRC client then...usually use multi-platform client like Pidgin or Digsby. Peace!

I finally figured it out, was great to have some 'real time' with some of the folks, here. The link I ised was: pkeffect.com/chat/mibbit.php When I got there, I typed in /join#iboga See ya there from time to time! Love to all. T

I do remember plenty of your emails, JZ..  Sorry no one got you the message earlier.  I did send the link out to the email list, at least once, to grab a few more folks.  So far the forum is coming along, and even growing nicely.  We'd be happy to have your contributions.  I try to hang out in chat most of the time I am online, but sometimes I am distracted.  By saying my full name in chat, it sends a beep that might alert me if anyone is trying to catch my attention.  Anyways, welcome aboard JZ, and hope to see you around more often!

Figured I'd bump this thread, so maybe new members would realize we have a chat room.  If anyone wants to chat real time, I am usually in the chat room.  Sometimes I am signed in but sleeping, or off doing something around the house, but I stay logged in 90% of the time.  Hope to catch some of you in there!

http://iboga.pkeffect.com/chat/pjirc/  click that link, then click run, then unblock, if it's blocked by your firewall.  A window will pop up and you should be in chat.  In the lower right corner, there is a box that says change nick to.  Enter your name there and hit enter, and we'll know who you are!  The #iboga is the room, and you should see us in there.  If you don't get anyone talking, type out my full name, and I might be in the other room, but I should hear it.  I have it set so that it makes a funny beep when you say my name..

For those having trouble getting into chat, click this link: http://pkeffect.com/chat/mibbit.php  You will see a page pop up, it will say pick a nickname, and it has a button that says connect.  Pick a name and click connect.  Then you will be on the server and in the help room.  Type /join #iboga in the text box, and click enter, and it will open the room in a tab of that window.  You can type /list and hit enter for a list of rooms on the server.  To change your name, you can type /nick newname and hit enter.

Hello all, I(dadada) was in our chat room a lot in the last month(s). Greetings to all the great people from our chat room and I hope some more will join. Is bluesphereweb.com down today? Anybody having the same problem? Hope it comes back soon. ddd

Yes, it was down a bit today, but the mibbit link still worked, that is posted above..  Should be working in no time through other clients, though..

So... I think the chat room is a great idea.. And I was actually starting to lurk from time to time myself.. but since the site's address has changed, GD, those links you posted don't work for me anymore.. I've used IRC before.. But I'm lazy and don't feel like downloading an IRC/mIRC program.. And I don't know if it's all the same anymore anyway.. Is there anyway we could get some working links again?? And also.. I was thinking maybe we could set up some weekly/monthly meetings in the chat room? If we can get a good working link so everyone can get in easily, I'd love to be able to talk to all my friends here from time to time, and in real-time!

I idle in the chat room as much as I can, but much of the time I am doing other things or watching something.  One way to grab my attention in the chat room is to spell out my full screen name, because I have my client set to make a funny sound when someone says my name in chat.  If I am near the computer I will hear it and be happy to chat for a bit..

Ahhh great, I got it working again.. Maybe it was just me, but I thought it was down. Anyway.. I'll be shouting at you sometime soon GD! And what do you guys think about setting up a meeting sometime? Perhaps picking a time when as many members as possible could show up, so we could have a nice chat in real-time? I think that'd be great if we could ever get it set up. Some planning would be needed because I know many of you have busy schedules, but toss the idea around your heads a bit, eh?

I would love too..... we all could learn so much from each other.  We all have our strenghts and weakness.  Course ...some have to help me get whatever downloaded.

The instructions in this post: https://ibogaine.club/community/irc-chat-support-web-based-clients  seem to be the easiest way for people, new to IRC, to access our chat room.

BTW, koko, when you enter the chat room,you only ever make it to the help room.  You must type in the chat line:( /join #iboga ) (no parentheses, though) after you sign in, to actually get to the iboga chat room.  Also, if you want my attention, you must type GratefulDad, with no space.  If you type my name as it is spelled or typed in the chat room (GratefulDad), then it makes that funny beep to alert me.  I always miss you by a few minutes.  Hang out in chat for a little bit when you do sign in, and I'll help you figure it out, I just never see you sign in until it's too late.

thanks gd,still kinda lost in there,it seems when i put in my username,then do the #iboga,that i am then alone in some room talking to myself (which is nothing new),but a little lonesome,lol
