Massage on Ibogaine?

Hi guys, During my research on Ibogaine I came across a Youtube video where the participant and sitter talk about how Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) was carried out during a trip.  EFT is a technique where acupuncture pressure points are tapped to rebalance the body's energies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oucvc5GpR_s The participant explains how the application of EFT during his trip turned it around 180 degrees, from an increasingly dark trip towards a place of light and joy. I am wondering if anyone has had any experience using EFT, or something similar like massage, during a trip and what effect it had?  Would you recommend that a sitter give a head massage, a shoulder rub, a foot massage, or even just a hug to heighten the trip and keep it positive? Thanks

I have not had experience with the techniques you describe, but often just having someone hold your hand, or any human contact can indeed turn things around. This has been the case many times for me on other materials and I have had good results from having back rubs during a flood. Nothing very sophisticated, just comforting. Good thread. I know providers who include massage as post session therapy to great effect, especially for a chemical detox.

I've noticed that the Bwiti ceremonies in Gabon involve a lot of touching and human interaction.  The whole village provides support to the person tripping and there seems to be a lot of love and human connection in the air.  These are traditions that have developed over thousands of years.  If leaving someone completely alone in a dark hut to their own thoughts for hours was the perfect trip, I'm sure the Bwiti would practice that.
