Nausa\promethazine

Am getting ready for a flood here in the next weak or 2. My question is about the nasua, I know at the clinics and facilities they give compazine from what I hear, I was wondering if 50 MG tablets of Promethazine would have any adverse affects with a flood with 20 grm rootbark.   Promethazine is a antinausa medicine and also supresses the gag reflex in the throat thus making it hard to puke. And  is alo usd in kemo therapy when used in conjunction with other meds that may make you nausa. Any information would help. Thanks guys

Promethazine is codeine.  The non codiene version is pointless, so im assuming its the former.  DO NOT take any opiates during a flood. Codiene is almost as dangerous as demerol when it comes to synergism.  I dont know if there is any research on codiene and ibogaine, but codiene kills if it is mixed with the wrong substance (for that matter, injecting it is extremely unpleasant), and it isnt from overdose.  Even if the is no particular interaction, taking an opiate while flooding is a terrible idea, even if you dont think its "working" right away.  Most of the deaths involved with ibogaine are secondary to opiate use.  Or speed.  Just dont.  Dont want anything untoward to happen to you. GD and Cal have more solid information on hand, but they would agree with my premise.  Ibogaine attenuates withdrawal, which makes the corallary, it potentiates opiates.  so, dont.

surrender is the key to success in floods puking is part of the process and according to many an essential ingredient to the cleansing (physical and emotional) taking something to stop an integral part of the process reduces your chance of the process succeding *s*u*r*r*e*n*d*e*r*

DR. I'm new to the board today and ran across your post. Promethazine is not codeine. It is a first-generation anti-histamine and a great anti-emetic. It is definitely not an opiate.

Thank you Ricky.   And as far as not wanting to puke, Well I know its gonna happen but I dont want to puke before all the alkaloids have not been absorbed. Thank you for your answers and words of wisdom

Promethazine is usually mixed with codeine ... Like DR said, there may be some without it, but that would defeat the purpose of anti-nausea ... so do not take it.. I wouldn't suggest taking any substance with Iboga that is not known to be safe or at least experienced by many who claim it is, EVER.
