Just want to say hi, as a reader I enjoy a lot of your posts..... My intial  interest was/is in breaking a nicotine habit...this is NOT a minor addiction as nicotine is thee most addictive substance out there , and potentially lethal if not treated and cured. Yes I know about and have used opiates but knowing the dangers of addiction never used them continously and daily so as to have to break an addiction. For some reason, probably because nicotine being legal I didn't be careful enough with this, tobacco is though a shamanic plant, but I didn't respect it enough I guess. Started a micro dose protocol and well iboga showed me I also have a caffiene habit and a food addiction also. Probably all inter- related.    Peace

Hi Yohimb, Welcome!! Nicotine can be a tricky one... I finally put it down after my last flood (though I confess I did have one smoke two days ago)  But I really had to work on it, Iboga doesn't seem to take the cravings away as much as it does for most other substances but it sure as hell makes them taste like shit!  I think microdosing may even work better for quitting smokes than a full flood.  Iboga can defiantly help change your eating habits though!  Listen,  I would do a lot of research before considering a flood... it isn't a magic bullet for everything.  I am still craving cigarettes badly, you will still have to do quite a bit of work with that one. roxine

I'm torn on the nicotine issue.  You can see in my avatar, although small, a tribesman shooting Rape'(Snuff)/Ruma---Contains Nicotiana Rustica--- up another tribesman's nose.  This medicine if used properly is extremely sacred and maybe the highest form of healing in fact the word Ruma is a synonym for God for the Yawanawa people in Acre, Brazil.  So I wonder about sublimation as you are obviously called to Nicotine but the question I have when people have a Nicotine addiction is should they only change to the proper means of intake?  This is a serious question I have, I hope to begin a discussion about this.  I hope it is not viewed in a negative light because of course I support your breaking of all addictions and it is possible.  I have noticed that Nicotine and Ganja are very hard addictions to break with Iboga.  To be honest Ruma/Rape' is my favorite medicine.  I've actually realized that with Ayahuasca it is like preparation to the Ruma ritual about 2-3 hrs into the journey.  And that is when the fire works really go off.  Glad to have you here!

Thanks for advice, lala, I'm not too big on the idea of a flood, not to mention I'm not sure I could afford it! The idea of not being able to move is a bit much, does this happen to everybody? Some books describe  it as a loss of coordination rather than loss of movement.

It doesn't happen to everyone but it helps if it does IMO.  That sort of walloping seems to be part and parcel with the resetting.  Besides that's not the worst of it that's for sure.  The hardest part is the sheer confrontation with what you have been hiding in closets and under rugs, that's what hurts...the truth about yourself and what you have been doing everything you can to avoid (when I say you I just mean however takes Iboga in large quantities to have a rebirth experience).

If I'm not mistaken tobacco is used in the peyote ceremony and ayahuasca ceremony, not sure of others....didn't know it was taken by way of sinuses. Thought it was also taken orally in the Amazon, as a drink....not too sure though. Using American Spirit tobacco  helps one off the nic habit in that no flavor enhancers and other additives are used in the tobacco, I know it sounds hooky.
