Questions

Hello everybody,  I have been doing extensive research on the use of Iboga to combat addiction. After having used Poppy Pods for a couple years recreationally, I became addicted to heroin for several months and was then put on Suboxone maintenance for the last 6 years. I was on 4mg of Suboxone for half that time, then 2 mg, 1mg or less for over a year, and had been tapering down to under .5 mg before I took my last dose 21 days ago. I am still having lingering withdrawal symptoms- anxiety, depression, low energy, chills. I also am addicted to cannabis.  My question regards using Iboga as a means of reducing or eliminating Post Acute Withdrawal Symptoms. I have been unable to find answers to this question  online- every mention I've seen is about using Iboga to detox from Suboxone after replacing the Suboxone with a short acting opiate. Have you heard of people having success in reducing or eliminating PAWS by using Iboga after the acute withdrawal of long-lasting synthetic opiates? I would also like an introspective experience to help me break old patterns of thinking and reduce my addictive tendencies, especially towards cannabis.   IW has been kind enough to recommend a good flood dose- around 1 gram of the HCL ( I am 5'9'' and weigh 115 lbs/ 52 kilos). I am less clear on booster doses/micro dosing, the doseages of these and the timing of these after the flood. If I am using the IW capsules, when would be a good time/ dose to begin these? I want relief from the PAWS, but I want to be as clear and lucid as possible and not feel psychedelicized throughout the day. I plan on doing the flood dose within 3 weeks/1 month. I appreciate any advice or help anyone can provide for me.

I think that it would absolutely help with the PAWS... It is hard to say how much you should microdose, it effects everyone differently, you may start out slow and build up after you know how much of a tolerance you have to the medicine.  It will also accumulate in your system, so be aware of that as you microdose. roxine

Thanks roxine! I know it might not completely cure any PAWS, but if it diminishes the severity or length, I will be pleased. If I just have a powerful introspective experience that teaches me more about myself and how to best achieve what I want out of life, I will be pleased. I suspected that boosting/ microdosing is a very inexact science. I will do some more researching on that, but it really sounds like you just have to listen to your mind and body and go by what feels right. Just start low and go slow.
