Tyramine-containing Foods and Ibogaine

So I was just recently microdosing with Iboga TA, and I happened to have some anchovies, which are high in tyramine. I had them twice, and both times, I became profoundly fatigued, emotional, and with worrisome pain and discomfort in my chest. Not something I want to repeat. I posit that it would be a good idea to avoid tyramine-containing foods while on Iboga, leaving a space of about a week separating the ingestion of the two. http://www.puzzlepiece.org/ibogaine/literature/raymondhamet1940b.pdf

Good information...quite interesting!    If it came from Dr.Chris Jenks' site - I'd definitely consider it legit. The article is old, which seemed oddly intriguing to me since so little research [or attention for that matter] has ever been afforded ibogaine, especially in the medical industry, yet times were different then and it is a foreign publication [French marketed a drug with about 8mg/ibogaine per pill called 'Lambarene']   Admittedly I did not read thru totally... only skimmed it: I thought tyramine was only really contraindicated with MAOIs - this is good to know, there is little in the way of empirical published data re: dietary concerns or restrictions and iboga/ibogaine. We'll have to compile this and consolidate in an archive...[a project we have been promising to initiate but you know, Life can get in the way sometimes]...anyway good post, thank you.
