Waiting time between last use and flood?

What is the minimum time to wait from last use until flood? I am using it to get off oxycodone (not the long acting owycontin). Would 8 hours be enough?

I think it depends on how much your last dose was.  You want to try to wait as long as possible, at least until you are starting to feel some wd's.  Could you do it the next day after your last dose?  roxine

I could wait however long just want to do it without screwing up. Thought I had read that with short acting opiate like oxycodone that less waiting time necessary. I would have some minor withdrawal at 6-8 hours. Last dose was 15mg. Thanks for your quick help!!

Well good luck cloris!  I would wait as long as possible, personally I never really felt the worst of the wd's until after the 24 hr mark,  so that is how long I would wait... but if you are used to taking much more than 15mgs, which I am assuming you are, you may start to feel them earlier.  I would just try to wait as long as possible, at least until you are in definite w/d  I am excited to hear about your journey.

My brother was to come over and sit for me, but now he doesn't know if can make it. Tempted to go ahead on my own since its a pretty low dose flood (plus Iv'e flooded twice before without any problems) but my internal compass keeps saying "bad idea". Whenever I do it I will just go by the withdrawal symptoms as you suggest and wait til they kick in pretty good. Some will start at about 8 hours but will be about 15 hrs or so till they get "definite" if I get your drift correctly. Thanks again for the help.

DON'T BE AN IDIOT!  LISTEN TO YOUR GUT!  ALWAYS HAVE A SITTER! Most clinical guidelines for SAO: On the 10 scale of pain, 10 being the worst, wait until you hit a 6 or 7.  You know what that means and how long that will take if you have been on opiates long enough.  Do whatever it takes to follow this guideline IMHO.  Safe travels!

BT, Yeah, I'm going to have to go with that sitter protocol. I couldn't hardly stand, much less walk, the last two times. "I'v fallen and can't get up" comes to mind. Now aiming for tomorrow morning. We'll see if everything falls into place. Thanks for the comments. Later.

Fritz - be careful bro, if you can't get a sitter get another pill and WAIT another twelve hours...whatever, I never waited 'too long' - let my eyes get watery, get chills, sneezin' etc...but never waited til I was curled up. But I always had 12 plus hours without. Good luck to you man, keep us posted!

Did the flood at 9pm last night. My sitter came through. Could see colors but no visions. Feel kind of spent and still dizzy. No serious withdrawal yet, but am worried it will come on again eventually.

I am glad your sitter came through for you and you were able to go ahead as planned.  I also hope the WD's stay away,  if I remember correctly you hadn't relapsed for very long is that right?  If that is the case then maybe it was enough.  Keep us posted.

W/D will come and go.  Not like any type of W/D you'd experience if you hadn't flooded.  So, glad to hear you were able to get things in order.  Your glow should kick in soon, take a moment to feel lack of w/d and a smile on your face.........Is that the beautiful Nori-glow? RB would be best to MD with if you have any.  HCL 2nd best, IMO.  I would start day 3 or 4, and remember, prolonging recovery time already has been stated as a reported side effect.  You should feel a boost of energy, awareness, pain relief, and theoretically over time accumulate nori to last longer.....making the transformation not only tolerable, but hopefully enjoyable.  I think you said you have to go back to work soon? Get some sleep and see how you feel tomorrow.  Use the tools aforementioned to induce those zzzz's if need be, of course provided you are medically cleared to.  That should tell us a lot, how you feel tomorrow.  Keep reaching out.  Nice work taking the leap!  Sometimes, it's messy.  Massive life change can certainly be.  But once you get cleaned up and stand tall, this will be a distant memory/reminder of a tipping point in your life. I hope you have someone there taking care of you.  Ask for help anytime Fritzerman!

Thanks earnestdeer. I am tired and sleeping some. Went out twice for half mile walks and that helped some, but was a little difficult because of the continuing dizziness. Do feel a litttle glow. Hope tomorrrow is as you predict. Thanks much.

Just treat yourself like an honored guest, as a friend said to me once....good advice. Be good to yourself - I caution you to 'look to hard' for any 'glow' or what have post-flood, it is not always there. The best thing to do is just pick up here and do the best you can, before you know it you will have a solid week under your belt, and then two...etc. Read (if you can focus) or listen to good online audio books  - I been listening to Tolle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBgwJAfnA40&list=PL5kLg7-Hi8cCX7DX_Noj5zKtKTjm3ruca) Hot bath, some cannabis maybe, all the stuff you already know  Thanks for keeping us posted bro and roll with it, we're all wishing you well!

Thanks for the advice. I'm actually doing a lot better than the last flood when I had taken Aderall too near flood.  Have been going for walks and taking hot showers. Wondering when my energy will go up. I know you said to be patient and enjoy. Doing the best I can. Anxious to feel better.

Yeah I feel that... Ibogaine turns all your lights on at once, and can leave you feeling like a porcupine for a week. I hope your energy comes back soon too man, that's always a big deal for me as well.

Slept good last night but woke up to gut issues and diahria. Took some lopermide, b complex and couple of nuerontins (these helped with withdrawal symptoms previously. Still kind of weak and dizzy. Hoping to get up gumption to go out for a walk.

Got out and walked a mile. WOW that took a lot. But actually feel a little git energized. Kind of strange feeling. The lopermide and nuerontin seem to have helped some. Still feel determined. Been looking over posts about vitamins or supplements that help. Feeling thankful for this forum.

yes! Exercise and diet are key to getting your energy back.  When your appetite comes back, you may only want healthy foods anyway.  Drink a lot of green machine or green goodness, seems like my body really needed a lot of that stuff and it is oh so good.

Ate a banana. Haven't had much apetite yet. Looks like Walmart has the green machine or green goodness. It's the premixed stuff right? Thanks

Naked Juice or Odwalla are my favorites.  When you feel up for it, I can give you some great recipes for your own home made green drinks..... Bananas are great.  Potassium is a large part of how we function, and sweating just takes it right out of us.  Eat all the bananas in the world if you can!  Great job walking!  I couldn't move for days post flood.  You drinking caffeine?  What's you secret?

Thanks for the advice Bluetiger. Where do you buy the Naked Juice or Odwalla?  I looked at Walmart for the green machine and green goddess but no luck. I'm think that most believe proper nutrition is a big part of the formula.

I've got bursts of energy but no stamina. Its like I can build myself up to taking a walk or some project but then just need to sit down and rest. Still, its only the second day post flood and this is a lot quicker than the last flood.

Sounds like you are doing pretty good!  Give it a couple of days and you should gain quite a bit of your energy back.  I find the green juice at the local grocery store, I drink the Bolthouse Farms, just because it is a bit less expensive, but they are all yummy.  Keep it up Fritzerman, and keep us posted Oh and I would get some of BT's recipes, they are delicious, especially with creamy avocado!

Thanks roxine. I ate pretty good starting yesterday late afternoon. Chicken noodle soup, couple of hard boiled eggs, a salad, and a small piece of steak my wife had grilled. This morning still just a little bit of the fuzzy head. Plan to try to go into the office for an hour or so if get the gumption. Tried to work out a little with some wieghts but only made it 5 minutes. Still so little stamina. I will get to the grocery store and get those health drinks. Thanks.

Past the first 72hours post flood. Walked two miles (in 3 seperate walks). Did some core exercises for short time and did a few minutes cardio on treadmill cranked uphill. Also trying to quit smoking but my brother came by(he smokes) and we did a run to Menards then he stayed for supper. Wife fixed a spicy tortelinni soup which was great. The smokes might be the harder habit to break. Gotta do thought as part of my post flood plan. Haven't had any serious sleeping problem which is suprising. No withdrawal symptoms except the sneezing and a little watering eyes. Thanks.

That is great news!  Keep pushing yourself, I think the more you do, the quicker your energy comes back, mine didn't come back totally until I went back to work at my very physical job, but once it did, it was full force and I had more energy than I think I have had since I was Much younger...  I think I sneezed for close to a month!  But the sneezing is very tolerable
