Happy new year to you sturdyprairie54!  You are doing great!  Today is my day 9 post flood, 10 days no opiates.  Kratom is sold at a head shop, about 100 yards from my house........no need/craving for it.  In fact, I still have a sour taste in my mouth if I think about it.  We have started our new life, seeing through new eyes, and it's going to be a great year because of it!  Xanax is a benzo, and okay to take before, during (if needed, but it will diminish the visions) and after an Iboga flood.  No idea about Tamazipam.  Are you still micro-dosing?  I just started two days ago with the HCL, switching to root bark by Saturday.  I have a story to tell about NYE, will start a thread when I get the chance.  Just a sneak peak, 2nd booster dose of the day by 2PM, started eating closed caps fungi (smallest amount ever) by 9:30PM.........whoa, life is beautiful!!!!!!!

sounds awesome! you deserved it fo shure Blue, i could also call a dealer and have it at my door in hlf hr(bad ass brwn), i even get  txt mssgs every day saying theyre on and i just chuck my phone around, cant wait till the melatonin arrives, would nuch rather a more natural sleep,  I have stopped microdosing  only did 2 days   3rd and 4th  w 100mg hcl, was advised that it could prolong recovery and wasnt feeling paws just the lack of sleep is all really, oh yeah and a little sneezing and the legs at night, but all things considered it really is incredible, so pleased you had a great NY you are so much more experienced than my with iboga, I thought i had everything to recover having reasearched iboga for 3 yrs,  read every med study everything i could find, but looks like you got it down, or it's just the dif from my 1st dose to ur 4th, or our pref poison who knows? it's all a mystery but becoming clearer by the minute, peace and much love blue, i cant wait to get to the alps and ride, theres already 3 meters on our local mountain, your always welcome but i guess you got all the snow u need there! look fwrd to ur new thread. thanks for the lessons. a

sturdyprairie54, I flooded at the end of November after 4 months or so on H & pain pills, I got no sleep at all for 10 days besides maybe an hour or so on night 10, not even xanax helped.  After day 10, it started to get slightly better. This is from the opiates not the Iboga.  Its now been over a month & I'm feeling pretty good aside from the letharghy.   I'm still not sleeping all the way through the night but get at least 6 hours or so without sleeping aids besides melatonin & natural herbs/tea.  I have gotten similar texts as you from dealers, got a few when I was going through acute withdrawl, but I didn't break.  Its not worth that short term relief to get stuck in that same viscious cycle again, don't even take a pill or weak opiate.  I've made that mistake before & it always turns out bad.  Stay positive, after the first 30 days its a lot easier. Be careful with the benzos too(Temazepam is a benzo btw)try not to take them every night & alternate with otc sleep aids or herbs. Stop taking benzos altogether after(or before if you can)the first 30 days.

Also one thing that has been a huge help for me is taking caapi regularly since a few weeks after my flood. I didn't have any iboga for boosters this time, so I figured I'd give it a shot.  I get a huge mental boost & glow from the caapi in small doses, much more so then when I took Iboga boosters in the past. Taking caapi has really helped me stay away from alcohol too as I feel very happy & comfortable socially with it.  I really feel better mentally than I have in a long time.

1 more day!  What about ganja?  Eating marijuana really knocks me out.  I slept for the first time without melatonin last night.  Had a tasty edible instead.  The only problem with them for me is that my body doesn't adjust itself as necessary.  More often than not, when eating edibles, I wake up with a massive kink in my neck.  But I sleep like a freakin baby.    It feels like I am 2 weeks post flood, not 9 days.  I think my mind is confused because it feels great, but my body is still super lethargic and battling that inner chill.  Gotta respect the process.

Yes caapi is the vine, & does not contain dmt. Taking dmt is a bad idea post iboga & there are interaction issues. I use a 4:1 cappi extract powder & its very easy to use in small doses, I just mix it with water & drink.  Also be careful what you put into your body in general after your flood, you will be extra sensitive to many things, for example when I drank caffeine after a flood in the past, it made me feel very uncomfortable & gave me anxiety. Stay away from alcohol as well. Smoking some marijuana is helpful to calm my nerves when dealing with withdrawal & paws, and its ok post flood & with boosters.

Thanks earthyturtle, yeah dont the dmt right now. got 3 hrs last night thanks to 10mg temazepam , and lots o bud cookies, I think the tem got me to sleep and the cookies kept me there, was just puffin b4 so dif effect and dose, I didn't walk into this lightly, researched for 3 years , my doctor told me to take anti histamines for sleep, good job i looked up the study and found it interacts with iboga and could lower blood pressure even further, (poss danger of loosin conc, tho i was 4 days post flood, it can still react!) I have no intention of using opiates and am determined for this to work if i have to flood every 2 mnths for a decade, but i realy want to nail it this time, so the next flood will be for the pure knowledge! but from all my reading i do understand it may take 2 or 3 floods to proper nail it but i want it this time!

Evo, The Post Iboga, Caapi modality is quite a big modality revolutionary idea.  Very interesting.  Would love to see a thread on this specifically.

KP, Caapi has been amazing for me mentally, & even with the physicall problems I've been having I have been able to stay positve. I'm sorry I didn't start with it sooner!  I think it would be incredibly beneficial to addicts post withdrawl, especially with opiates.  Being depressed & dealing with physical withdrawl/paws simultaneously is terrible, but if you feel good mentally it makes things incredibly easier.  Iboga is great mentally as well, especially with cravings, but for me Caapi just makes me very happy & love life in a different way.  Its like an afterglow everyday! The level of happiness I get with Caapi I did not get with Iboga, maybe close to it for a day or so after a flood but that was it. Caapi blissful for me, & not only that but I feel much more in tune/sensitive to the good/bad energies of other people. I feel so much better socially with people now, I used to be pretty quiet not very social at all with strangers & have a tough time meeting/approacing women especially unless I drank alchohol.  I feel much more comfortable now, its like the fear is gone. For the first time in my life I have been enjoying myself at parties with friends without drinking, which is huge for me.  In the past I felt so awkward and uncomfortable around others who were drinking when I was sober. This is huge for anyone with drug/alcohol addictions, being able to have fun & be happy without drinking or drugs! I also am much more conscious of any negativity or anger I start to feel, if I get angry driving for example(I can have a bad temper)I'm quick to check myself.  It really helps me be a better human being & feel so much alive.  I have really been projecting positivity & good things have been happening to me.  Music has just been amazing as well. Caapi has got to be the best anti-depressant on the planet.  It is tragic that Caapi is not widely used for depression.  I am unsure about long daily term use & some Nexians experienced with Caapi/Aya recommended cycling up to 3 weeks on & 1 off.  So I'm taking this week off as I'd been taking caapi for 3 weeks daily.  If I knew for sure it was safe I'd take it almost every day.  I don't think you'd even need to take it every day for antidepressant properties, I just feel extra extra good on the days I take it!

sturdyprairie54, Keep it up, sounds like you're on the right path.  I wouldn't worry about multiple floods, just stay positive & concentrate on staying clean, take it one day at a time.  Don't expect or plan to flood again unless its absolutely neccessary.  If you're not coming off long acting opiates like methadone or suboxone you shouldn't need to flood again anyway, maybe some boosters after awhile & you should be ok.    In my experience, once you see how effective Iboga is, it can became kind of a crutch.  I know it did for me.  What I mean is,(especially when you have Iboga on hand)it becomes very easy to start thinking,  "Hey, I'm gonna use a little bit & if it gets out of hand I'll just flood again"  I'm not proud to admit it, but I've definitely done that more than once in the past & I'm probably not the only one.  Its a bad idea to do this & only makes recovery a harder & longer road.  I'm actually glad I have no Iboga(and don't plan to)partly because of that.  I don't even want it to be an option for me anymore.  The goal with using Iboga for addiction should be to make it a one-shot treatment if possible, not to rely on it.

So beautiful Evo! So glad you're still alive (FOR GOOD REASON).  You have a purpose to fulfill. As a friend says, "You are Da Vine" Or another one says, "Don't worry be Caapi"

Thanks earthyturtle, no i dont wan't do that at all i was just expressing my emotion and exagerating , trying to say how determined i am, sorry i should be more matter of fact on this forum, i am coming out of long term physeptone addiction(+street, apart from last 2 yrs) for 27 yrs, so i stopped the phy(methadont tabs) 5 weeks, b4 flood but could only do 5 wks on sao, it's the insomnia thats getting to me, more than anything. we are in good spirits but Caapi sounds great for myself, looking into it! thanks earthyturtle well said Kambo

Thank you KP!  I feel I do as well.  My mother recently told me she had more than one person tell her(strangers while we were out in public)that I had an aura or glow/light, & that god has a special plan for me.  I was shocked & suprised to hear this to say the least, but it made me feel good inside.  I think how you have said you have a unique connection or calling with Iboga/Kambo, I feel this with Caapi.  It just feels right to me, like pure universal happiness/oneness. Its hard to even explain.  I will start a Caapi thread here & share my experience, I think its needed.

sturdyprairie54, Just wanted to put my experience out there, so you or others can have an easier time. Ok so you were on methadone, its very good that you did have 5 weeks off it before your flood, that will most definitely cause you less suffering. I came off a year of suboxone in late 2011, & I only had a little over 2 weeks on sao before my flood.  It was very tough, for the first month it was a struggle to get up & move ANYWHERE, getting up to walk to the bathroom, standing etc. The second month was just slightly better.  I didn't quite follow how long you were on methadone? Was it 2 years, & 27 on street/short acting opiates, or vice versa? The insomnia is really rough man, I feel your pain.  After the first month it should be much better though. Sleep will come I promise!  After that its the lethargy that is really hard, especially with long acting opiates it tends to drag out a while.  Its gonna take time to get back to normal, you just have to stick with it.

no iVe been taking h 27 yrs, perscribed Phy(meth) for 18 yrs, but only used it as a fall back and travell aid, mostly i used street but 2 yrs ago i tried to stick to the phy, why, f knows? i already had been researching iboga so knew it was harder to detox but was sick of the way my life had headed, also it took me a year to come off seroxat(ssri prescribed on and off for 13yrs ish,) it was always easier to just drop the seroxat when on h but not on phy, that was hard. i stopped serox in july to prepare for iboga. then did 5 wks h, day 17 free  now little sleep still but getting couple to 3 hrs due to cookies and temazepam some nights, got none now so thank b the melatonin arrived, i think it works but was mostly awake last night but I did rem a dream for ist time in yrs. thanks earthyturtle appreciate ur help.

[/quote] I couldnt agree with you more on that one. its like I wanna reset so I can get that first high again. Hell, to evan get high again was a selfish goal. I need to give this plant some more respect than I do for what magic it brings and what great healing it can do. Ive done ibogaine 3 times and planning on a 4rth since my last attempt on DEC 29. That session I puked and was only a %50 detox so I am crutching again and at this age of late 30's Ide say its time to get with the Fu&%ing program called LIFE. I had just made a thread about my overdose and ambulance and hospital stay just a year ago, check it out. its titled  My Overdose. https://ibogaine.club/community/my-overdose-i-was-asked-to-elaborate-more-on-this-at-request-so-everyone-knows I was asked to do a lil thread so people will know why they need a sitter %100 of the time, evan if you are familiar with Iboga it is still a must. Take care. I just wanted to hit on that crutch comment you made. It is so very true
