Iboga for the mind not addiction??
Your weight is less of a factor than you think it would be. It really has to do with your liver and how well it metabolizes the Iboga. I have had 1.5 grams and never got sick and I weigh about 145. I know people who weigh over 160 and have gotten sick after .8 grams. Everyone is different. That's why you MUST know what you are doing. Do you have flood dosing schedule guidelines?
Hey thnx for the info no i donot have a dose gudline. I would deff like to have a look see if you have it available. I was led to believe that weight was the guideline. Thnx for the rplydeff sheds some light on the matter.i figured that 2 gm ta would be a good first flood.... thnx
Many people use weight as a guideline. I can not see how else you will figure out the dose. How do you know how your liver is processing the Ibo?? Best, cinderpath
Good question Roy
I think weight could be used as a loose guideline, but by no means the only criteria. When I went to a clinic, you kept getting doses every hour until you either said no more, or you vomited. Sounds messed up, but that's what the doctor told me. He said I was able to handle such a high dose compared to everyone else because my liver was processing it well. So, I suppose vomiting is the answer to your question.
My friend flooded before me to ease my fears, he had no addiction issues, it has changed him in many ways. First of all, he had/has? Chrones disease before ibo, he was having serious attacks at least every two weeks, I had not even heard before that Ibo could cure Chrones, it has been just over a year since his flood and he has not had ONE SINGLE attack since! What a miracle! He is no longer depressed, in fact quite the opposite, I do think it may have over blown his ego a bit but he is still young and learning. He took a pretty heavy dose but was very familiar with entheogens. He no longer suffers from depression and things that would get him very worked up now don't bother him much at all. This isn't my personal story, but I know this person very well and as a non addict it helped him in tremendous ways, The Chrones was an extra and unexpected bonus!
I read somewhere (don't remember where) that Iboga will not help with Kratom addiction at all, I don't know of it is true or not, but you may want to consider it... anyone else hear/read that?
Not trying to kiss up here, but I was blown away by the brilliance of this message Cal. This is how it is, make no bones about it. Straight to the point no mincing words. How Iboga is supposed to be, in fact the words even resonate as if it is Iboga speaking. Clear and simple Iboga is harsh in delivering it's message. It won't dance around the topic, and gets right to the heart of the matter. So just want to applaud and give thanks for Cal's overall message here as it is very inspiring to me. I would certainly take note, to one and all that are new to Iboga. Don't kid around with yourself and be ready to face up to the mirror without any excuses. This overall message is clearly what other entheogenic forums lack, in my personal opinion. That is first and foremost why I love Iboga (and this forum) so much. No one is skirting around that knows this medicine well. Head on collision.
I agree completely. Cal, you are amazing, your way with words, your conviction. You are not coming across as a dick at all, just a passionate person who genuinely cares. I am glad to be a part of this community too!
@Cal, This is just for me, puking could be used as a guideline. I was puking Very bad and on the way to the hospital for the first time in my life for a drug related issue. My problem was I was drinking water and I would drink a few ounces and puke it up. This went on for hours on Apx 18.5. Also, it cracked my head and got me off a sugar, coffee, cola and other things. Puking is a way to purge your bodies of poison. If you drink Raid or other poisons you body pukes to rid yourself of it. When I puke it is over, again this is just me. Even under the influence of Ibo I considered if it was possible that I am burning my throat. See, that is another reason to have a sitter for you do not know the harm your doing to yourself. Now this was my fourth time, what should a newbie if they encounter the same problem and maybe without a sitter? Best, cinderpath
Hey yall and thnx for all the replies ive been in florida with the fam and trying to type all this from my phone dosent work out too well. ok so anyways. cal i get what you are saying and i do agree with you on all your points. the kratom is a means to an end and i guess what i meant was a classic addiction if that makes sense. from what ive read the iboga dosent effect the kratom or there isnt much info on the subject. i guess that most people get to iboga in a time of desperation I do get the fact that how ever little kratom i am taking its still an addiction. hell coffee is an addiction and people go into ibogaine still drinking coffee and such.im just not full blown text book withdrawl. i do experience withdrawl from the kratom too by the way. the way i seen things without deluding my self is that after the suboxone the kratom is the last step befor the ibogain. the reason i said i may be taking kratom still was to illicit a response to the action weather good or bad and if there has been any experience on here with said drug. at most i take now 10 grams a day 3 in the morning 3 in after noon and 3 at night. my excuse to not taper yet was the family vacation thing and have begun to taper as of today to achieve my goal of none when i flood.i do agree that if i am still taking the kratom then it will not be just a spirit session. ive posted other questions on here in order to get specific responces i was lookin for. I dont wanna come off like im defending my self on the contrary i am a rather open person and thats why i put at the bottom of the first post on this thread if I didnt post enough backround info just ask me. this particular round with opiates never got to the bad places i did in the past where i was using dirty needles that i found on the street. this time a round i got the help of the subs and never at one point did i ever take more than 2 mg of an 8 mg strip because i know the potency of buprenorphine i had the pleasure of experiencing buprenex back in 2000 when subs werent available and the only way was a muscle shot at witch point got me involved in needles so the cure was the problem too however i do know that the bupranex was only .3 mg a vial and that kept me well so i know that doctors here are misleading people and way way way overprescribing suboxone irresponsibly i might add. With all that said im working on getting down to no kratom. i feel that if i am still taking some thats ok with me but i am not taking subs or your traditional opiate and hopefully like i said befor i will not be taking the kratom. the kratom is a double edged sword because the opiates were originally for lower back and neck pain and fortunatly or unfortunatly the kratom works for my pain and i havent increased my usage but rather have maintained it in order to live decently with out being a total junkie. I am a tattoo artist and find my self in odd bodily positions and have a hard time moving by the end of the day with out a little help. i would like to revise and say that if i were still taking the kratom i would be ok with that. and thats probably why you felt my attitude was maby a little weak. I look to get from the flood a deeper self understanding and some relief from the pain that i have on a daily basis. so many people talk about pain relief that i must try this. ive done aya and vaporize dmt regularly.i get that one must come to ibogaine and surrender. thats what i will do. from thuis thred and some others ive read more is better and i was apprehensive about taking 2 grams ta if i wasnt in full blown opiate withdrawl. im mearly trying to get a feel for what is the best dosage if i get to it totally clean or if i am still taking some kratom obviously none is better than some drugs but suboxone is the absolute worst. im looking for the experiece that lalababa friend had and come out of this pain free. my wife has fibromialga and im hoping that ibogaine will work for her also. thnx again cal I get the understanding of your kind works and i know you are looking for my best interest thnx everyone else if anybody has anything to add plz do i need all the info i can get especially concirning kratom and fibromialgia.... and by the way i know my spelling sucks sorry to all the professors out there i do try....
gracioustrail: As an experienced Kratom user, I can confidently say, if you are really keeping it to 3 times a day, 3 grams a dose (under 10 a day), and you are ONLY using plain leaf, no extracts or enhanced/enriched blends, then you are doing amazing. I could not do that. I don't have any lasting self control with opiates. Kratom is something that seems to be really beneficial for a lot of folks who can understand, and live the "less is more" concept. You seem to be doing just that, so good for you. Feel free to ask me any questions about Kratom and flooding. I know more than I wish I ever needed to.
hey blue tiger thnx for the reply ill get back to you i do have some questions. the kratom has been amazing for the after math of the subs. all plain leaf and no more than 10 gm a day ive read too many horror stories from people usin xtracs or just massive amounts a day.
Hey gracioustrail: In my experience, flooding with Ibogaine HCL is best for addiction interruption. For me, the Ibogaine HCL has been more powerful than TA could ever be. Others may feel differently. From what I gather though, Ibogaine HCL is the most profound on folks who use opiates as their DOC. Please note, this theory is from my own experiences, and from the word of a doctor friend of mine who has treated over 1000 people in the past 12 years. Now for some reading: https://ibogaine.club/community/feeling-alone-and-in-need-of-support-planning-flood-4-within-a-week-or-two -- This is the thread I started before my 4th and final flood (Kratom addiction) of 2012 (I''m done flooding in 2013, just micro-dosing). It also gives you a little back story on me. If you care to, there is another thread I started that's very basic in the introductions section. https://ibogaine.club/community/heavy-kratom-abuse-and-my-4th-flood -- This is the best thread of mine post flood for Kratom abuse. There are a lot of questions that I am sure you will still have, but read up, and a lot of questions may be answered. Bottom line, I am here to coach you through this process the best I can, just another form of support for you. I wish I had someone like me to answer questions before hand, but that's okay, my strong support materialized quickly from this forum within the last 2 weeks. Recovery is a process that must be respected, and having a guide will only help minimize the challenge that lies before you. When you come out the other side, it will be tough, and the most beautiful feeling coming back to life without opiates (yes, kratom is an opiate for all intents and purposes) with that angelic noribogaine fueling your ride. Don't let my threads scare you, it shouldn't be nearly as difficult as what I went through. You are correct when you say, KRATOM EXTRACTS ARE BAD NEWS!!! As Daniel Pinchbeck would say, get ready to "Turn on, Meet God, and Get Straight!" One Nori Love, B-Unit P.S. Update: I am 12 days post flood, 2nd round of micro-dosing started yesterday, the glow is strong. I am being peace, I am being here and now, and this life continues to show/remind me how precious our potent existence can be. Happythankyoumoreplease!
