microdosing schedule and methodology

I have some good quality IW RB powder -- it is strong and my body responds to small doses (200-500mg). 5'10" - 250lbs. I currently consume 3-5mg of Bali Kratom per day and have been doing so for the past two months -- it eases the pain of my MS and gives me a slight boost of very natural calm energy (makes me feel normal basically).  However, Kratom creates physical dependency and should not be consumed regularly in this fashion -- thus, it is my desire to cease consumption by the utilization of RB in micro doses.  I am wondering what a good regimen would be for doing this using RB.  Am also wondering how much a teaspoon of root bark powder weighs approx?  I took a full tsp last week and was in waking REM 1.5 hours later.  Thanks.

Hi silverbadger49! Welcome to Ibogaine Club! It's great to hear that the Kratom makes you feel "normal."  I think you mean you are using 3-5 grams though (not mgs).  I know people with MS who have found much relief from cannabis too.  Have you explored that route? I was addicted the Kratom extracts and boy was it messy.  I think it was worse than my pain pill addiction.  Opiate addiction sticks to your bones, so if you can get off of them, it's likely in your best interest.  This is a great thread for the community.  You will likely receive a few different POV's and only you can make the decision of what is best for you.  So please continue to read and research, poll the experts like you are doing, and document your trials and tribulations here if you would be so kind.  I have MD'ed bark for 3 weeks after a flood, but never to titrate, so I will let others step in and advise on that..... I am confident you will find what you are looking for.    Kindly,  BlueTiger P.S. Here's my Kratom thread.  I woke up in full detox, but turns out, it was the foundation of my rebirth:  https://ibogaine.club/community/heavy-kratom-abuse-and-my-4th-flood

Different people have different methods of MDing. There is also a difference in before and after a flood. I do about 1 gram every week now and it's about 2/3 of a teaspoon, but sizes differ. Take it in the morning after breakfast and it lasts all day. Did half a gram in the evening once, but that didn't work out for me. Cannabis might be interesting to explore with MS. It's not as addictive as kratom.

Hi! You seem to have a pretty low tolerance to the medicine, so you may want to take smaller amounts, everyone is different.  I would find a dose that doesn't give you "waking REM"  and stick with that... It can also build up in your system, so I wouldn't take it for too long, maybe find a cycle that seems to suit you.  Several days on, several off... longer if you feel the need. roxine

Hey guys, sorry for such an ultra late reply -- my hard drive crashed the day after I posted this and I finally got my computer back up and running. Thanks for all the great and very helpful replies.  I have great news to report (and a lot of detail that I should have posted in my original post but my computer was on the fritz so I had to be brief so it did not freeze up again and lose my post). I should first start by saying that, up until the middle of October (2012) I was on methadone (30-50mg for 4 years) for an intractable and severe pain disorder called allodynia (under the care of a "pain management" doctor... who actually is a pretty decent guy; decent, but misled and ill informed).  Needless to say, I wish I could have gone back in time and never started down that road... even though the methadone provided a great deal of relief.  The stuff is ABSOLUTE POISON and it completely robbed me of my personality, my mind, health, and dignity (to name a few).  It affected EVERYTHING negatively. I type this post now 7 months clean of methadone thanks to Ibogaine and the amazing person that provided and sat for me (in a certain country in Central America... I do not want to name the person or the clinic at this point lest I sound like I am advertising)!  I am CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!  and getting my life back!  Such an amazing process, I cannot say enough positive things about Iboga -- it is overtly apparent to me that this plant was put here by The Creator to break the chains that bind (among other things).  It works so beautifully... so thoroughly and miraculously -- it has the fingerprints of deity all over it.  And it has a story equal in its peculiarity and miraculousness... of being discovered, utilized, guarded, and then brought forth out of obscurity at a time on this planet when mankind was crying out for help from the very bowels and depths of despair and misery.  Deliverance has come!  I think those of us that have been rescued and delivered might at times downplay or take for granted this most intelligent and healing botanical.  While emphasizing this point, it is also important to reiterate the fact that Ibogaine does not do all the work for you -- it leaves you some heavy lifting and sorting out to do for sure; but that is not a weakness or shortfall of Iboga... in fact, this is is one of its strengths.  This is absolutely necessary for the metamorphosis that takes place both during and after the flood. So fast-forwarding a bit from my flood in Oct. to the beginning of April when I posted this initially -- I did in fact proceed with boosting and microdosing root bark powder a few days later.  I dosed 5 or 6 times throughout the day until all kratom withdrawal symptoms (and they were of course light but nonetheless uncomfortable) had subsided... and then slept through the night!  No withdrawal the next day (maybe some slight artifacts perhaps), and none in the days that followed -- it really was all mental from that point on.  I had absolutely zero craving for any Bali Kratom (keep in mind, I was down to a pretty small dose and was only taking it for two months approx).  I was so pleasantly surprised at this on one hand... and then completely expectant of this result on the other. I feel so fortunate to have crossed paths with Iboga and the information that led me to it -- the positive consequences of it have sent ripples through eternity.  How grateful I am as well for the pioneers and trailblazers that have set the foundation for the rest of us and provided so much knowledge and wisdom.
